    Very good price $328 for the 1100D, but $649 for the D3000 isn't so good. I for one am sick of playing the camera lottery game with HN. As has been the case for many of us, they massively oversell their stock, sit on your payment for weeks, don't keep you informed, then in a majority of cases just cancel your order. Stuff HN.

    Its not like the camera suddenly loses features because it's older. You should buy a camera based on if it is suited to you and the price is right, not on if it's the newest.

    Some of my favourite cameras are from the 60/70s!

      Yes.
      But the D3000 is truly an ancient artefact now.
      I know of no major or minor retailer selling it as new.
