    Pity the only game that I really want to play is the Kid Icarus game. Im not fussed on the Pokemon/Mario/Zelda/Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts retreads.

    I bought a regular 3DS for $200 a few months ago in JB Hi Fi. The key is to buy games along with the 3DS. They are more willing to give discounts that way. I bought $100 worth of game when I bought my 3DS.

          it's not that much of a bargain, if you wait around you can get Mario games for $48. but it depends if you're willing to wait.

    Price match at BigW or JBHifi or Target and then pay by ING Paywave :)
    PS. In my local Target, only one counter has the Paywave machine
    $197 -5% = $187.15

      not sure if this is valid since ING paywave only gives back 5% for purchases under $100 so the most you'd be getting is $5 off max

    This is an okay price. I personally imported a Limited Edition Pikachu 3DS XL from Amazon UK for about $236 and got Super Mario 3D Land for free with it and found that of better value. If you can't wait for another price drop though, this is still a good time to nab one.

    Just wondering if anyone uses a mod chip for these? I had one for my DS Lite…it was great for playing media and for testing games before buying. I gave away all of my DS games and only have ROMs now that I don't use the DS much.

      Some do, but depending on the firmware on the system, you may need to update the card on a DS beforehand.

      Also this will not work with 3DS games, only DS/DSi games :)
