Please suggest me Powerbank for Samsung Galaxy phone and tablet

Hi,
I'm trying to find a good value Powerbank for Samsung Galaxy phone/tab. What brand and capacity and price should I go for? Where should I get it from? Do you have any brands that you trust?

I prefer Australian sites/shops so I can receive the item faster. But I don't mind ordering from overseas sites either.

Thank you!

  • After some research I ordered this one for my Galaxy II

  • I ordered this one for my Htc one x, works well and has a very high capacity.

Takes a while to come though, 2-3weeks.

  • Thank you for all of the suggestions, I do want a powerbank that's compatible with the Samsung tab, not just the phone. Yoobao brand seems to be quite popular, will look into it.

And, yes, I did see the previous thread about Powerbank, but since it's been 6 months, I thought that there would be newer/cheaper/better version than what's recommended in that thread.

    • A friend of mine bought me a Yoobao 10400 mAh battery recently. It's able to charge my GS III about 4-5 times before dying. Quality of it feels pretty decent/well built.

Feel free to give me a PM!

    • It can charge the samsung tab but keep in mind that it isn't as strong as a wall charger but is definitely more than the computer usb so it takes a little longer for tablets. I've got the samsung note 10.1. Also it can hold a charge for quite sometime, I only charge mine once every week with fair amount of use everyday or two days (everytime I use my phone as a hotspot).

I had a look about a month ago and all the other external batteries were a lot more expensive than the yoobao.

  • Anything that includes a lightning adapter? I've got an iPad 4 and Galaxy Nexus.

    • The yoobao doesn't include one but you can plug in your own lightning adapter, it does come with one for the nexus but I think it's better to just use the stand micro usb that comes with the phone.

      • Ah, didn't realise you could plug the usb straight into it :).

        Thanks.

What ever you do do not get the one that says 50,000 mah from the hongkong/ chinese guys.. they come in white and black, it is no where near that capacity that they state

. Before I bought my 50,000 on ebay, I asked the guy how many times it could fully charge my Galaxy s2 with 1650mah battery, he said about 12 times which I thought was pretty good.

After a few weeks using it( they say it has to be run in first before maximum usage ) I get no where near that. I get 4-5 charges max. 5 is being generous.. Severely Poor product.
