In reality eating a good source of protein and carbs after your workout is enough to support muscle recovery/repair.

apexplosive's comment below is correct. I've bought a heap of pre-workout supps and I don't believe they do much.
For me I think it more of a placebo effect making me work harder because I paid for them.
Looks like its just a preworkout supplement. Mostly contains caffeine. Its supposed to give you energy during the workout. Not essential but does help with heavier lifting and recovery.
