ARMA 3 Alpha Version Including Access to Beta and Full Game Via Steam upon Release ~ $25.50

The prices over at the Bohemia Interactive store have again resumed their prices inline with the Steam store. Thus for a second time I am going to expire this offer.

Un-expired edit:

It appears that Bohemia Interactive have reenabled the purchase of the Standard and Digital Deluxe versions for a discounted price via their own store rather than through Steam.

The best way to view the pricing is to ensure that you have created an account and are logged in.

The US price has also been adjusted to a lower pricing level roughly inline with the GBP pricing.

Current prices in US dollars are:
Standard $25.04
Digital Deluxe $43.84
Supporter Edition $75.16

ARMA 3 was released in Alpha version today. It is available for purchase at three different tiers of Standard, Digital Deluxe, and Supporter Edition via Steam and Bohemia Interactive directly. The Supporter version is only available currently via BI. The current pricing structure reflects a lower price point given the Alpha status of the software but by purchasing now you also receive access to the Beta and a full copy of the game upon release.

A list of all inclusions in the different versions is available here http://www.arma3.com/buy#buy

Steam is currently unlisted in search results but can be found here:
http://store.steampowered.com/app/107410

Standard USD $32.99
Digital Deluxe USD $49.99
Supporter USD $91.99

Alternatively, if purchasing through BI directly at http://store.bistudio.com/ if you choose GBP currency the Standard version is available without tax for Australian residents at a value of £16.52. Paying with PayPal for myself increased this to AUD $25.50 at current rates and charges. A Steam serial key is then emailed to your email address.

Thus at http://store.bistudio.com/

Standard £16.52 = ~AUD $25.50

I would provide further prices for the other versions but the Bohemia Interactive store is currently timing out due to the load on their servers.

  • Thanks OP I was going to purchase through steam tonight. I will go direct and save paying in £

  • http://store.bistudio.com/ is down.

"Firstly, we’re extremely sorry for the inconvenience experienced by some people either trying to buy the Arma 3 Alpha from our store or who have completed the transaction but haven’t received their Arma 3 Alpha key. Due to the extremely high interest in the Arma 3 Alpha program we’ve experienced serious technical issues which have been worked on and continue to be worked on until they’re completely resolved.

We’re resending the emails with Arma 3 Alpha serial keys now. Once we’ve taken care of the first wave of outstanding purchased games, we will then enable the store again. Thank you for your patience and support!"

Looking forward to a great game

  • Where is the standard version on the BIS store? I can't see it, only the supporter edition..

    • I can't even see the supporter edition now. Did see it an hour ago though.

    • My understanding is that due to load on the servers and a backlog of serial numbers to be emailed out all versions are currently taken down from the BIS store.

As to when they will be returned, and if all versions will be available, I cannot say. I bought my copy about 30 minutes after the initial release last night and had a smooth purchase with the serial emailed within about 3 minutes. Presently though I'm hearing of people that had their key arrive 4 hours later or are still waiting.

  • As the Bohemia Interactive store is no longer showing the availability of the ordinary ARMA 3 or the Digital Deluxe version I am going to mark this as expired. Currently there is no information on the BI forums regarding the return of these versions to the BI store. The Supporter version is still available however via the BI store. Presently it is showing as £49.58 without tax though I have had a report by another Australian that they cannot purchase it for less than the full price of £61.11.

  • Seems to be back up now - though I don't easily see how to switch currency [OK I switch currency - but I don't see totals change at all - as in Tax removed].

TIP: register on a PC you can copy and paste the auto generated password from your email …. they have 1lI in them and it's hard to tell.. and password reset sends you a massively long 'token' key to type in.

  • It was actually cheaper if you chose USD. something like 24.87USD when I paid last night.

    • Indeed. It appears that Bohemia Interactive have adjusted the US prices when purchasing direct from their website. Great to see for anybody else that wants to jump on the deal.

      • It shows up as $32.99USD?

        • Make sure you're logged in, these are the prices I see through the store when I'm logged in.

EDIT:Converting from the GBP price right now is slightly cheaper if you're really a jew.

        • Hrm, I'm logged in and still see it as $32.99

        • same the price for me was 40c diff buying USD there or on steam - decided to go on steam simply as its one less place I needed to give my credit card to.

  • I bought this on steam last night at $32.99. But just checked out http://store.steampowered.com/?cc=uk and it showing as £19.99. So you maybe able to get it this way to.
    OP maybe worth unexpiring this

    • Cheaper through the BIS store.

    • I've just un-expired the bargain. The availability and pricing has been fluctuating but seems to have stabilised now that the initial rush is over. Some people have been having issues with the prices not showing at the reduced prices compared to Steam. However, I'm not sure why this is. Besides creating an account and logging in if anybody has any other advice please contribute.
