A great price on one of the best games of this generation. Gamersgate currently have the Ultimate Edition, which has the DLC for $7.50 as well.

Wow awesome price for an awesome game.

I never understood why this fell in price so quickly, it is one of the best games of recent years.

    • +1

Agreed. I preordered for $80 and don't regret it one bit.

      • I can see how it would seem a bit overbearing to start with, but the game is so deep with such a rewarding storyline.

        • I can only see that if you think games should be 'shoot bad guy' games in the call of war honour duty variety. The gameplay isn't all that complex, but it does require you to make descisions as to how you do things, which is why it is good.

Replace the boss fights and it would be a 10/10 game.

      I never asked for this.

    • The in-game ads might have turned some players away when it was first released.
Apparently, not only they did display ads during loading screens but they also made the load time artificially longer.

Fantastic game and they had no choice but to get it spot on, because the original Deus Ex from year 2000 was just brilliant, i had just finished another FPS and started Deus EX-HR i was dead within 30 seconds of the first "fight"… i had to totally change my playing style and when i did manage to get the balance right it was a bloody rewarding game.. that price is a damn bargain and a half :)

This was a great game - one of the few I didn't want to end. I was a little apprehensive to play it at first - it would have been sitting on my shelf for perhaps 6 months before I actually started it. What a fool I was, easily one of the best games I've played.

i wish i could unplay this game so i could experience the joy of playing it for the first time again

spent 40+ hours on this game and i regret nothing

  • This game is definitely worth $80. But I still feel ripped off I bought this for $16 :D. $4 is a bargain and a half

  • Hmm on my first attempt I really wasn't grabbed by the first level so I got distracted and left it. But with all these comments I'm tempted to give it another swing. Thanks OP.

    • Yeah, play it until you get into the outside areas (not too far in) and the game starts opening up for you. The first level (from memory) chucks you into what you can interpret initially as a first person shooter with a crazy difficulty spike. When you learn how to actually play the game it becomes something different all together.

  • Stupid question - but do these appear to anyone else as $4.99 and $7.49 (instead of $4 and $6 respectively)?

      • Thanks. Dunno why that wasn't working before

  • This is a ridiculous price for the awesome and lengthy game it is! Don't hesitate to grab this immediately :)

  • I remember getting DX:HR Augmented edition for $40 from GMG. Did not not regret it at all.

The first Deus Ex was probably the best game I've experienced. I might have to revisit this as was disappointed with both sequels.

    • Tracer Tong, Gunther Hermann, Daedaleus….I'll have to revisit that too.

2nd time I've tried using gmg. 2nd time it's failed.

    This time:
Your Payment Provider has not authorised your purchase. This may be because some banks (incorrectly) believe that Green Man Gaming is a gambling website. Please contact your bank to discuss your order. We are working with these banks to resolve this issue.

    Wtf

    • It's a known problem. Either use a different bank (CBA is fine, for example), or try contacting your branch. I'd try my luck with the former, TBH.

      • Tried via Paypal (above).
Tried with Westpac Mastercard - Denied, a simple denial.
Tried with BankWest, got MastercardSecurecode problems. Not texting me the special code.

All of my accounts are perfectly in order, my money, and I'm not doing anything odd. Deals are great - But screw this site. Nothing but crap for me. Back to Steam. Worked flawlessly 250+ times over 9 years.

One of the best games released in recent times but every game has a downside and this one is the boss fights, you will be forced to become an all out assault, bullets flying everywhere type of player rather than the usual sneaking around knocking/killing people. So you are basically forced to change your playstyle and the boss fights just seem forced if you ask me and if you have never played it before it will be a combination of trial and error plus frustration as to how op the boss fights are and that you feel useless and forced to fight. The great thing about this game though is its replay value, I finished it once and as soon as the last fight was over I started again on give me deus mode. Cant wait for the next one if there is one. Great game with that one downside, just one!!!

  • "A great price on one of the best games of this generation. Gamersgate currently have the Ultimate Edition, which has the DLC for $7.50 as well"

Im sorry but I do not see All the DLC included in either version on the site, I have never played the game but am curious at this price to purchase, BUT the This Augmented Edition contains:

Exclusive 40-page Artbook - Showcasing the concepts behind the world of 2027. Discover the origins of the design, the characters and the weapons of Deus Ex: Human Revolution

44-minute making-of chronicling the trials and tribulations of the Eidos-Montreal team

Motion comic based on the first issue of the DC Comics adaptation

Game soundtrack composed by Michael McCann

    E3 Trailer and animated storyboard

This does not include the In-Game DLC of:

Deus Ex: Human Revolution – The Missing Link $14.59

Deus Ex Human Revolution: Tactical Enhancement Pack $1.99

Deus Ex Human Revolution: Explosive Mission Pack $2.99

Am I right or am i missing something and hopefully this is all included?

    Thanks in advance!

    • You are better off buying the Vanilla version for $4 if you are not sure if you will like the game. The Augmented version is pretty useless but some people like extras like that. Explosive Mission and Tactical are fairly useless DLC, the Missing Link is with the $3.50 difference if you know Deus Ex HR is a game you will like.

    • The GG version includes everything for DX HR: Augmented, Missing Link, Explosive Mission, and Tactical Enhancement. http://www.gamersgate.com/DDB-DEHRUE/deus-ex-human-revolutio… and it's $6 if you have the 20% compensation discount :)

one of the best games of 2012

    • *2011 :D

  • Sorry about the referral link ^. Thanks again, OP. Much appreciated.

  • damn missed out on the gamersgate deal. Now to play the waiting game

    • yeah I just got the reply to my comment and it appears to have gone back up, thing is I am not sure if I can deal with GG again.

They will probably not be able to give the key, say they will have it in a month, then 2 weeks later randomly issue a refund and an apology E-Mail that they can not deliver the keys but they are working on some compensation (THAT NEVER CAME)!
