SimCity: Limited Edition $43.96 Plus $2 Postage @ Video Ezy

310

Saw this today though it was a good price for a boxed version from an Australian seller. After the positive feedback that I received from my comment in the other Sim City deal I though it was worth posting here.

Very much looking forward to this game being released, the only issue I see with getting it from Video Ezy online is waiting a day or two for it to turn up in the mail.

  • Don't they get all their cheap games like this from the UK? I read in some places online that some people receive their preorders about a week after the release date.

Would definitely buy from here if I didn't mind waiting a bit after release date.

    • I must admit I haven't brought anything from Video Ezy online before, so I'm about to find out their shipping time. I'll be happy enough with it turning within a week after release at that price, but really hope it isn't any later than that!

      • i bought a digital copy from cddkeyhouse.com for $45USD, immediate email delivery, ive heard videoezy's post out delivery times have taken up to and more than 2 weeks from others here back when far cry 3 was released

        • depends where they come from - wowhd tie-in means many ship from hong kong…

    • I bought FarCry 3 from them, and it took a couple of weeks after release to arrive. The envelope had a Hong Kong postmark, although it was an English copy.

      huh?

    • A marvelous showcase of a complete inability to form a coherent idea, spell, do basic addition, be courteous and make a comment actually relevant. Well done, Stanvx.

  • bigw is usually the cheapest in selling popular games but this kills bigw's price!

Don't be tempted by the offer - the game will be down to $20 within 2-3 months, guaranteed.

    • As much as I wanted this game so badly… but the price will go downhill within 2-3 weeks after launch.
But again… I purchase too many games already for my budget this month!
(Too many big titles coming out this month!)

Guys please remember, yes, this is a great game, but it also has a DRM attached to it. I wont be buying games with DRM until they have the option of offline play. i.e Diablo 3.

Excellent find though! Nice work OP!

DRM also means you can't sell it once you're done with it. Ergh.

Yes no offline mode seems crazy to me… Given that in February our cable was down for 9 days out of 28 it would not have been a good month for Sim City… Don't understand why it can't have offline mode like Steam.

      • In my opinion that is how they milk the cash cow… They have their an only advantage, in this type of game, which is multiplay. Plus simcity4 was a huge successes.

    • Dont think that works for anyone with Windows 7/8 with 64bit.

      But thanks for showing us!

I wouldn't be holding my breath for dramatic price reductions quickly, sims3 took a long time to come down. I think this is a good deal.

  • wow good deal, this is going to be a great game :D

  • I had no idea they'd started working on a new SimCity. I might have to take a year off work to immerse myself in this one. Last time I played these I was a kid :)

the always online mode has put me off for now…

  • pls noticed their release date is 8/03/13,

    and

Nooo, i dont know its an online game, does it means no mods?

There is also no terrain deformation and the "areas" connecting cities cannot be built on. The overall map size is much smaller then sim city 4. Then there is single player lag thanks to "you're a dirty pirate" drm and the fact this game will be microtransactioned to death so hard the sims 3 would blush.

Looks to be far too many compromises this time around.

  • Not happy.

They have updated the product to NON-Limited edition at same price and available for pre-order, limited edition can not be ordered anymore.

Can we goto for ACCC for false advertising then. It's like Coles mis-labelling price, we're entitled to the product for free? (is this still the case?)
