    AV = Audio/Video protection? Could mean that it is well shielded from EM interference?

      More than likely, that's what it is meant to be.
      But the AV protection being stated above is in fact regarding Anti Virus protection.
      It is written on the back of the packaging of "The 3rd Earth Xbox 360 Elite HDMI 2.5m cable" which is sold by BigW. (See luke73's comment above)
