Free $50 QuickFlix Gift Voucher at UCB Stores with Purchase of 2x1.25l Coke Soft Drinks

70

I was at my local UCB service station this afternoon and I noticed a poster advertising a free $50 Quickflix Gift Voucher with the purchase of 2x1.25L bottles of Soft Drink (I think it was all Coca-Cola brands, so Lift, Fanta, etc.) - I'm going to go back this afternoon to take a photo of the poster, but it looked like a pretty good deal if you're into using QuickFlix.

From my experience, most independent service stations (United, Liberty etc) are part of the UCB (United Convenience Buyers) group. You'll probably recognize their logo (on their website http://www.ucbstores.com.au/) from the posters at independent servos. Sorry I couldn't find any store locator on the internet as it's just a buying group, not a franchise. I'll update with more information as I find it.

Is this a real gift voucher, or the 'free first month' card (which looks like a gift card) that QuickFlix hands out at the drop of a hat (and is only valid for new members)?

      This.

My guess (in the absence of any further clarification from the OP or others) is that this isn't a real gift card with $50 Quickflix credit. I was sent a "$50" Quickflix gift card from Virgin Australia a few months ago, but ripped it up when seeing it was yet another one month free offer masquerading as a "$50" gift card. Fair chance this is a similar promotion.

      • I'll go and see what it actually is when I'm over near the service station next. Wouldn't one month cost less than $50?

  • i dont get why this received positives? they always give these out and are now piggybacking on other business masquerading as if your getting it only because you traded with them. its not a bargain its always been free. quickflick will rip you off. i signed up for a trial before i could even get a dvd i tried to cancel it. they tried every trick in the book to try and prevent me from cancelling and made it almost impossible.

  • I've had a free trial and didn't have any issues.
