    • So you want to go to the movies with your Neighbour (or Neighbour's Partner?) oic.. You're just sharing the love ;)

  • I'd neg this if I could. I will write to them explaining the definition of "shortly" because clearly they don't understand its meaning. Looks like this was a scam to boost Colgate sales. Shame on them.

    +1 revoked

If you went out and bought some toothpaste then it's fair enough to be a little annoyed. But I think it's more than fair to give Colgate the benifit of the doubt and give them a week or so.

If you didn't buy toothpaste then give it a week or so and if it doesn't come through then screw it. It's a promotional offer for a movie ticket they didn't steal your credit card.

Also just for you here's the definition of shortly.

      shortly
      adv
      1. in a short time; soon
      2. in a few words; briefly
      3. in a curt or rude manner

I don't see a time frame in the definition so I don't see how it will help.

  • +1

may be need to wait till April because that's when the promotion ends.. Oh well as long as the tickets arrive don't mind waiting few weeks.

  • Bought the toothpaste, submitted yesterday.
The email said I will be receiving an email with my movie ticket.
But as Rekabkram said, I'll wait a week or so and then start asking questions lol

  • lol it seems some web designer is going to be pretty red faced for omitting the receipt # from the form

    • +1

They have no way of confirming receipt numbers anyway.
They haven't said only Colgate products purchased from Safeway or Coles. So it's valid at all pharmacys and supermarkets.

Unless they ask you to provide the store name, store ID, purchase date and receipt ID; and then they would have to individually contact each store and ask them to look up the receipts. That's if the supermarket/pharmacy/store is even willing to give out that information. Then do that for 10,000 individual orders.

I would not want to be that guy.

  • I think OzBargain should ban the OP, vegemite. He/she just joined OzBargain on 18 Feb 2013, must be one of the culprits.

    • +6

The op is in the penalty box. Wonder for what reason.

      • +3

very observant of you, i'd too like to know why

    • Don't you think someone owes the OP an apology?

  • +1

Received my 2 tix just now in email

  • i received mine 1 hr ago as well

  • recived 2 tix too

  • Are there any tickets left to claim?

  • Nothing received here. Perhaps they're staggering the e-mail delivery or maybe some people have missed out.

    • Received mine. Thanks OP. Who needs Optus/Telstra $10 tickets when we can get them free!

      • got it, ty op!

  • +1

  • +1

Still waiting…….. I reckon I am owed 5 due to my 10 unit purchase at 49 cents each at discount pharmacy.

  • +2

    nothing :(

    • Don't worry there would be many on here with multiple accounts that would have received multiple tickets. You are not the only one, but you seem to be the only one brave enough to admit it. There are 10,000 up for grabs so there is more than enough to share around the ozbargain community.

    • Hopefully they wont cancel it because of people like you.

  • +1

i got mine… i wonder how they are deciding which ones to send to.

    • Did you submit your entry as soon as this offer was up?
(I am still waiting for mine:(

  • +3

I submitted mine as soon as I saw this deal but still no email :(

  • My wife got hers last night, but I haven't received anything yet….

    • assuming your wife lives at the same address as you this would make sense as it is one entry per household

      • Which is why I used a work address instead.

    • Others arrived yesterday so all sorted now.
Not sure why the delay with some, especially since I did mine first.

Also, my father did his last and got it within 24 hours.

      Weird….

  • I received my first claim yesterday eventually. Submitted a second shortly after receipt, and received another ticket within the hour.

  • Got mines today.

  • Thank you !!

  • still haven't received anything and I practically signed up the moment this deal was published. Hope it comes through….

  • Still nothing received here either. I don't understand why some people have received their ticket and some haven't.

  • Haven't received anything either.

  • +3

Last few days I kept on checking my inbox but no luck. Very frustrating.
Has anyone actually contacted Colgate to find out what's happening?
This is not a competition, is it?

  • Got mine, thanks OP :)

  • is anyone complaining here ~

who didn't actually purchase colgate products and just used the barcodes on page 1?

    • I think it took about 5 days or so.

  • Yay! Got mine too! Thank you so much, OP and the person who posted all the barcodes!

  • so i take it they are not checking receipts? if so, can't people just order as many tickets as they want?

  • Got my email today!

  • Still (patiently) waiting. I used a Gmail address; just wondering if they could be dispatching them in a particular order, or sending them to ISP based emails first?

    • Mine was gmail, received just before midday today.

  • +1

I say it's random. Don't worry you'll get it. Just keep an eye on SPAM as well as some of mine ended up there.
