    advantages over airplay?

  • +3

    Or air video?

  • Pretty nifty, good value for a $0 price tag. I don't have AirPlay/apple tv, but have a Samsung that this program works with, also have ps3s/xboxes around the house that also work. Not a huge selection of channels, would be great if I could send iview, sbs etc through my wdtv.

  • There's a lot of +ve votes, very few comments… strange

    Some feedback for this app.

Grabbed it last night and tried it out. Very simple to use, and easy to get video output. Found a video to play, it looked for an output option, and picked up my Denon amp as well as the 3 WDTV's I have on the network. Chose the WDTV SMP and after a few seconds of buffering the content played on the display. The WDTV didn't even need any input option, it just started playing from a random menu I was on.

Quality of the video varied, depending on the source. Played some that looked like HD, and some that looked like youtube 2006.

Also used it to display photos from the ipad, which worked well, although the aspect was not right on these.

  • i got this aud 5.49. and its terrible app. keep crashing n now its free :(((((

  • I have used it a bit an have had no drama's with it, although their are plenty of dlna streamers on the market now. I guess it just depends on Interface preference. I love the RT News app, the best balances news source available, just need presstv now.
