Hobbit free ticket promotion - did anyone else miss the cut off date?

Dear all,
I posted off my request for a free Hobbit movie in early January as per the promotion http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/87008. I hadn't heard anything back from the promoter so emailed them last week.

I have just been informed that they received my letter past the cut off date of 21 January 2013. I sent the letter from Sydney (I don't recall when, but it was likely the first week of January before I went back to work), so I am very disappointed to receive this news. Work/Life has been busy, so i didn't get a chance to email them before last week.

Did this happen to anyone else?

    The promotoers were absolutely hopeless. They only sent me one ticket so I emailed from the Hobbit promo website and no one responded. So I found their company email, and about 4 different people got the email. One of them sent me a ticket to my email straight away and apologised, and the others all responded saying 'we never recieved your claim and can do nothing'. bloody idiots. glad it all worked out in the end though, caught the film in HFR 3D just before it was about to finish up at cinemas.
