    Nice interface, animations and sounds.

FYI - it uses the American pronunciation of the letter Z.

  • Pretty decent, thanks

-thought i'd bold this pretty important detail…. otherwise others (like me) might be shocked to see that an app called Endless Words only goes to the letter G :).

    • Yeah I thought it was a trial for a minute, then after viewing one letter, it updated to M then onwards

      • And more words will be added automatically in the future - if you are online.

  • A better app for our Aussie letters both font and phonetics is rED writing, though it's not free at $1.99. This is from a teacher's point of view. The American pronunciation is a real problem, especially for the vowels. I see many children who have a vowel confusion e/i. I did download this app, but would rather rED writing as it not only gives the letter and sound with aussie accent, but shows how to write the letters.

    • Agree rED is a great app and is the best around for us Aussies. Unfortunately, with TV, movies and computing there is no way for our kids to escape American and British accents and pronunciation. As a parent, I have been discussing the various versions with my 4 year old.

The user interface of Endless Alphabet is fantastic (I think better than rED), I wonder if they would think about an Aussie version?.

Last I used rED, it was only available for the iPhone (could only expand for iPad), have they updated it with a proper iPad version yet?

      • Yes Ipad version available. I use it all the time with my reading intervention students. It really gets the boys interested who are not always excited about reading and writing.

        • Thanks for your reply. I had another look for the iPad version but can not find any reference of it. I can only assume you are using the iPhone app at 2x zoom. Do you have a 1x or 2x shown in the bottom right hand corner?

        • Definitely says 1x.

        • Thanks. That is the same I have. The 1x means it is an expanded iPhone app. If you press it you will see the app shrink to iPhone size.

Still a great app though, just not designed specifically for iPad, but usable on iPad.

  • The version I see in the app store has advertising or an in app purchase option to remove it. Is this app always free? If so where is the deal?

    • Interesting. This never had an in app purchase when this deal was posted. Actually the wording was specifically "Endless Monsters’ can be downloaded for free for a limited time".
