Hey, I have a friend/customer who wants me to get him a good value laptop. I haven't got time to order one online and wait a week for it to arrive, because I am leaving the country for 2 weeks in 1 week. So I would like to get something and hand it over asap, which means i need something that is good value that is available to pick up from my local JB HiFi/DSE/HN/MSY/TGG, etc store. I'm gonna browse MSY now, if anyone else has seen some reasonable deals lately can they please let me know? It doesn't have to be a deal worthy of the front page, he's given me a decent budget to work with, and he's not fussed on an SSD so that will keep the cost down.
He'd like to get an Ivy Bridge core i7, with 8GB RAM, 500GB minimum HDD (prefer 750 or 1TB) and any basic graphics card that's better than integrated.
Also because of the limited time constraint, cashback deals wont be a good idea. I could get something online shipped straight to his home address though i guess, so it doesn't strictly have to be local pickup… but I'd prefer if it is.
