Better than their standard 5% "like us on Facebook" discount.

Supposedly a deal for existing customers to have an "exclusive" discount, but obviously intended for sharing since their email tells me I can forward it, plus there's social media sharing buttons on the page… Yeah, not so exclusive.

    I suspect they need to offer 50% off to compete with the other car rentals…

    eg.
    Gold Coast > Brisbane
    Rhino: Super Saver Car 2000-2005 or similar = $120
    Budget: Compact (Hyundai Getz 4/5DR or similar Group B) = $60

      To be honest, I've never used them for Australian car rental, only in the US and Europe where I've found them to deliver 20%-30% savings for me over the past 3 years.

    I am giving this a + even though I am not sure about the discount.
    The quote I got through Rhino is cheaper than Hotwire so I am quite pleased with it (although they seem to be related companies - their website and emailed quotes look almost identical).
    However, the quote does not seem to apply any type of discount. I even did the Facebook 'like' thing for 5% and still don't see any discount applied to the price.
    It is for a car out of LAX and they do say that discounts differ depending on location etc so, who knows.

      If you're doing a one-way rental, then it also depends on the location you drive the car to. When I was seeking a previous quote for Denver to Las Vegas vs nearby cities, it varied by up to 10% just on that factor alone.
