Hello, I visited Masters to price match following deal
Dyson DC35 Multi Floor Vacuum Cleaner DC35MULTIFLOOR $299
http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/92045
But they refused to price match saying Masters everyday price is lower than HN's everyday price and as this is a special they wont price match. Were they right in saying so?
Had no problems matching price at David Jones, showed the webpage on my phone and manager was happy to match.
Strange Price matching policy at Masters

Wasn't a clearance, as its a current model.
…Or don't frequent their business and let your mouth communicate your displeasure to all you meet about the service you received from the company.
write the comment/feedback on their facebook…
This happened to me at Masters Braybrook.
Kurt, the home and decorator manager, refused a price match - exactly the same reason as yours.
The next day I phoned masters head office to question these terms and conditions. They confirmed Kurt was in the wrong and phoned the store directly to tell him off.
They were also able to organise a pricematch for me over the phone, so all i had to do was go back into the store and pay/collect my item. Thanks car-la-la, I bought that product from a different supplier same day. But it's good that our ozbargain community now knows what to do if Masters give them this reason again for not matching the price.
Was looking for 4 ceiling fans with plastic blades, found theone we wanted in a retail store for $249 each, then online for $159 each, went to Masters who had same model, price was $143 each after producing printouts, were not in stock and arrived 4 weeks later, best fans we've ever had even the sparky was impressed.
same thing happened to me.. stupid and meaningless policy.
price+delivery = cheaper elsewhere
andmasters do not want to match the delivery fee as well, but they take that whole bundle pricing for their unit pricing and plus deliver fee ( how is this make sense)they need to take down their policy, it is a missleading promise
I just called Masters trying to do a Price Match and it was an incredibly long and convoluted process. They didn't believe in the price featured on the Harvey Norman website, required physical stock from a HN store, even though they didn't have their own, and I was on hold on their call centre for over 30 minutes while they made phone calls. Long story short, if I didn't have a voucher to use on Master's I wouldn't. Dismal customer service effort and inability to follow their own terms & conditions.
I usually live chat online and provide website. Then they setup the click and collect with the lower price. Beats having to call
Thanks Frozensage, your comment really helped me. Got a saving of $259 on a washing machine at Master with a click a collect price match.
Arent they only price match for appliance? How could you save $259? or the delivery fee is $259?
doesn't mention any limitations to "everyday" prices. excludes clearance items though
ring the store up and complain
