  • cheap! David Jone's STOCKTAKE clearance - DC19 selling at $479 this is $81 cheaper!

    very good deal!

  • I grabbed one of these last Saturday, they are great even though they are the base model - call ahead for stock availability as there weren't many left at the store I went to even though I was there the day they released this price (Marion Store - Adelaide)

  • Cannot find one out here in the wild west, there are none at Hardly Normal in Dubbo, Orange, Bathurst, Parkes or Good Guys in Dubbo or Orange!!!

Has anyone tried one with the optional turbo brush?

  • HN Catalogues are area specific.

  • I thought 500 days interest free had $500 minimum spent

    • It is.

      "Terms and conditions
      * Conditions of No Deposit, No Interest, No Repayments for 500 Days: Available to approved customers on single or multiple transactions over $500 on GO and GO Business MasterCard, GE CreditLine and Buyer’s Edge (excludes new applicants) from 26/12/08 until 18/01/09."
      from http://www.harveynorman.com.au/promo/dechalfyearly08/index.h…

      • While there is no interest on the $500 borrowed, there is a Establishment fee (on new accounts only), account service fee (currently $3.95 per month on GO MasterCard, Buyer's Edge and GE Creditline. Currently $2.95 per month on GO Business MasterCard).
I would hate to give this deal a negative but you are advertising an item that on its own does not qualify for the 500 days no interest, no deposit, blah, blah, blah, rubbish.

  • DC19Y = Barrel vacuum
    DC14Y = Upright

For the DC19Y, the RRP is $599, however you would be very unlucky to pay more than $500 (inc delivery) for it — 20% discount here. Search eBay for it.

Interest free / no deposit or not we're talking $400 here for a product never seen before at this price (even on ebay) - how could a neg even be entertained ?

Perhaps the post should be modified to remove some info but its still a great find.

  • in case anyone is wondering, this model does not have a HEPA filter.

    great price tho.

    • +1

Yes, HEPA filters only feature on the more expensive models. And to correct a misperception, Dyson bagless vacuums do have filters, of course - at least a lifetime H level washable pre-motor filter, and the same or a HEPA post-motor filter. (According to my probably outdated brochure, only one model has HEPA filters both pre- and post-motor.) Some people I know were told by salesmen that bagless vacuums didn't have any filters at all …

And yes, $400 is a good price, even without no deposit/etc :)

  • Thanks for the filter information, shame The Good Guys are sold out, it's 15% off everything today!

Edit…Good Guys had a pallet load delivered, got it for $375 and turbo brush for $80! Bargain :-)

  • does MYER do price match at all?

  • You can actually get one of the DC19 at E & S Trading for $462 - 20% off which equals $369.

    Check www.estrading.com.au

    • Damn; Melbourne only :(

  • I got Dyson DC19 for $389 2 years ago at Harvey Norman Fyshwick, ACT. Looks like they advertised this special price every now and then. I bought the vacuum around Christmas sale too. Price excl. turbo brush though. Excellent vacuum and it's a lot cleaner than my old crap vacuum for nearly same price!

  • im going to ge one
