Out of interest, how long did that take?
well as t5 at heathrow was backlogged they were officially "misplaced" not lost… took 3 weeks to finally get luggage returned.. carrier eventually paid out for replacement clothes and crap over for the 3 weeks without however no compensation from emergency assistance insurance claim with TID…

Does anyone know where this code has originated from?
Does this code have any conditions attached to it eg. you must be a member of lets say, the Police force, and thus when making a clam if you can't prove this your clam is canceled?

not a great deal - like with all insurance the worth comes with the claim.. travelled with TID earlier this year.. lost baggage for 3weeks of 4week trip - rang em and they wouldnt give any emergency funds untill the carrier advised the property was officially "lost"… guess its a peace of mind thing for a tightarse traveller this one.
