missed the very best deal from Harvey Norman last time, not much stock at that moment anyway. Now with 700 around, it is like 50% off since its first launch

Well that sucks, may have been worth it. Guess it's better to wait for Microsoft Surface Pro then.
Windows 8 Pro Tablet coming for about $900, similar specs but may be better value as it will probably be a fair bit slimmer, better on battery, better screen resolution. I don't know enough about either, but just a rough guess depending on the person it might be better waiting for newer tech. Although this does seem like a good deal. As I guess the specs are still similar. Is it worth an extra $200 and a couple months wait, not sure…
Better accessories as well
You didn't miss the last deal because it was not honoured.
only $100 off for a 2nd hand? Not a bargain at all…in fact, onlinecomputer.com.au was doing $699 brand new during new year, I know because I bought the samsung slate from them.
Acer W510 would be a much better deal IMO.
argh retina/3MP today, not 1MPs. waiting for android to with something 14 inches.
The samsung/sony vaio is 20 inch but $1500.
No thanks to that(1MP) either…eww. :/
you based your purchasing off of specs that are just buzzwords.. "Retina" and "Mega pixels" dont mean anything you realise that right
- They do, refer to apple tablet!

ppi, surface-to face can be 38 cm…2048x1536 pixels;

I noticed Harvey Norman Joondalup was doing them yesterday @$799.
After the 20% discount in their current sale. This is jUnk. The acer iconia tab w700 is only $999.
Has full 1080p screen and better CPU ram and ssd plus storage.
congrats you basically said a 1.5 year old tablet that is $300 cheaper is worse than a current gen $1k tablet (that doesnt have a wacom digitiser)
/slow clap for captain obvious
The harvey norman price error flash back is coming back T_T
64Gb is a bit little…
