I'm sorry, but this is not new, I have used these coupons for the last 6 months minimum, also it is only 5% if you buy stuff for exactly 100$ because it is a fixed 5$ amount.
I always use the new invoice for the coupon for the next week.

    • +1

At least the last year and a half, I believe.

      • Can we use this voucher at Liquorland?
        Thank you in advance

    • How did you manage to use these codes for the last 6 months when the voucher code is valid from Jan 2013?

    • I must have missed you posting the deal 6 months ago.

  • Pfft, I always get 5% off for being a Woolies staff member ;) ahah

    • +2

stack 5% entertainment gift cards with this $5 off, and that makes a total saving of 9.75% for us ordinary folk on a $100 purchase. Can you also stack your staff member discount on this?…..if so that makes it 14.26%

      • Or use ING paypass if no entertainment gift cards.

      • +6

Christmas b4 last I stacked Ent card 5%, staff 10%, survey $5 and $5 off from bottom of another docket plus $5 mail voucher. Then bought 12 months worth of 1/2 price specials tp etc.

    • +13

Sorry ElectronicFirst, ou won't get $5 off at Coles for being a Woolies staff member- you're the opposition! You better fill in the survey

      • No, Woolies memeber shall be disqualified from Colse offer. :-)

        • Not disqualified for survey but no staff discount if you're working for the opposition.

      • That is why ElectroniFirst is working at Woolworths

    • +1

I have worked for both Coles and Safeway, and during a quiet shift I noticed a pattern in the staff discount card numbers, and managed to work out the algorithm to generate more. I could post it here, and create deal of the century, but I figure that will eventually just ruin it for everyone and I'd also prefer not to get fired. ;)

If you do need 5% off, I will happily give you my referral codes for ING instead.

      • +1

Haha you need to show a staff card and that's what they scan (at least at Coles)
I don't think they would take you seriously if you tried anything else

        • -1

          Self service now.

      • You realise that Coles cards have a bar code which needs to be scanned and they also now cancel the card once you leave!?
        Just like a CC.

It's not like when you could just type in any old number.

Once upon a time there was a store number followed by a few other numbers (Woolies)and it wasn't very hard to work out, but these days the staff discount card is just another marketing tool like flybuys etc which allow them to track your shopping trends and put them to whatever evil use they have planned.

On another note if someone got a hold of some of the card numbers you would then need a friendly checkout operator to enter them for you, said operator risks criminal charges as do you.
And all for 5% off woohoo.
Oh don't forget the size of the whole Wesfarmers umbrella for future employment.

    • Coles give Woolies staff members a discount????

      • sure, just like how they would refund you for items bought from woolies

  • Not bad for groceries. 5% off. :)

    Maximum 5% off.

Thanks for posting. Saved me doing the survey.

I wish someone would post this every month.

    • +1

Someone would inevitably complain that it should be a forum thread rather than a new deal post…

  • Will this stack with my5?

    • +5

      my5 is gone… long gone..

    • my5 was too complicated

  • It's worthwhile exploiting the ING Direct Paywave 5% rebate instead. When that draws near its conclusion you could stock up on gift cards purchased on Paywave and then go back to filling out surveys if you're really desperate.

    • +2

I usually use the $5 off coupon + the 5% ING pay wave rebate. If its still over $100 I pay in two lots :D My partner and I have been using the $5 off coupon for a long time now!

      • +2

I find that I struggle to get a single purchase up to the $30 for a fuel voucher let alone $100. But that might just be me. =.=

        • +4

Find girl friend, your bill sure will skyrocket.

  • $10 off for people in W.a for $100 spend

    • +2

hi, do you have the coupon for sharing? very much appreciated :)

    • Plz post the coupon :)

  • +1

Just do the survey every 2 months. Reprint the one you did and use it until it expires. Best to buy after you get your coles email every week so you can use that extra points/voucher between Friday-Sunday.

At my local store the store manager makes all the other managers go home and do multiples of these saying what a great store it is.
    He's an ass.

  • +2

$5 from op, 5% + staff discount card + 5% ING pay wave + Coles mail voucher+ entertainment book $100 Coles gift card.
    Now that's huge savings.

    • +2

unfortunately entertainment and ING do not stack

  • +1

Yes it does, buy entertainment book then use ing separately, but same transaction, with payment options mixed""then refund partial/all of the card back onto ing card. Now you have saves 5%+5%.
If cards are mixed payments, debit card has priority more than anything else, since its been used regardless, at the end refund will be place back into the debit, it's kinda like cheating the system. If you used gift card alone then it's another story.

    • Does this mean every time you shop you have the cashier process then cancel your transaction then process again?

    • Ent book[$65] would mean a $1300 breakeven point for 2013/14, though, right; or is it possible to ing_purchase the card by a family member w/ Ent book & BE straightaway?

      • The Entertainment Book has hundreds of other coupons and offers that reduce the payback, not just the 5%off coles cards. We've saved a few hundred on ours sofar on things that we would have bought anyway, eg reasruant dinners, takeways, and a few activites.

      • +2

Thx, but to my concern - Can the one book serve for the purchase of multiple Coles cards/multiple card users? And if so, how many - unlimited? Link would be welcome.

When the ING rebate finishes, these cards would extend for a year out. Opportunity cost of forgone bank interest will impact the discount. Do these take long to source via Entertainment Book?

Ah yeh…$5 off is pretty 'meh' in the scheme.
Whoever grants the most pages discount/ half-off_stuff ultimately wins the Coinage/.95pass from me. I should depart very quickly on my woolworths Australia tour of 9 pages*1/2off stocks-up for the week, but shall keep a keen eye on tomorrow night cattledogs' racing..out of curiosity.
also Dont forget your rainchecks dudes, works a treat.

    • -1

too cheap? 8)…Carn the catalogue is where it's at, keep up.

    • &don't eat too much food or your health may go down soon.

  • Also remember to use a different checkout person/store when using the same one every week as i used to be politely told that i couldn't re-use the same one weekly…

  • I think the Flybuy coupons I received recently is a better deal, $5 off on purchase of $70.

    • Somewhat better than the deal per one member of my household on their Flybuy coupons sheet: $10 off on '$180' X5, then $15 off on '$200' X1 week (Easter).
Fairly loyal, large Coles patron too.

So we appear to have 7% to 5.5% & seeming regressive ?return in reward by the scheme.

  • +1

Good stuff, thanks OP. Used this today by showing the voucher on my phone, also saving printing costs ;-)

  • I think that Coles also publishes a coupon offering a similar discount in the local papers (at least I saw it when I was in QLD).

    • I've only seen this rarely, usually when they're doing a refurb to try and entice the customers back.
But it's different everywhere I suppose.

    • they've offered $5 off $50 and $15 off $100, but they are not regularly available

  • thanks for new coupon!

  • Is there a current voucher available?
