I wonder how the warranty works? Mwave is well known for making you wait whilst they rma parts.

So if you have a faulty processor, are they going to replace it on the spot once fault is identified or rma it and make the customer wait?

I wont ever buy from Mwave again after taking a long time to replace my obviously faulty router, making me get an rma from the vendor was annoying.

  • Did you guys move (again)? I saw a sign outside on parramatta road, near the fisher and paykel…

  • mbroere,

We've moved to our current location over a year ago. We are now located @ Unit F3, 3-29 Birnie Avenue (off Bachell Ave), Lidcombe NSW 2141 for more info click on the link: http://www.mwave.com.au/about-us

    Mikinoz,

We are continuously working on improving our customer service satisfaction and speeding up our replacement times for warranty product.

    • Thats good news, so the warranty? is it a system warranty or piece by piece ie will you replace with stocked item or make them wait for rma from vendor?

      • Know your rights mate: http://www.accc.gov.au/content/index.phtml/itemId/3863

Not knowing all the details, but sounds like you should have had an on the spot replacement.

Agreed, unfortunately Mwave dont play that way.

The rep says he is improving it , so lets see , rep care to clarify?

Those free games are a promotion from AMD, not you. Stop being misleading.

    • +4

in fact, at 2 x 7950s in crossfire maybe that should actually be 6 games (2 sets of the 3 listed games), unless they are providing them independent from the AMD promotion.

  • +1

For the first 12 months we cover the complete system (hardware faults only). So if there is a part fault in the system we will replace the part for you. And after 12 months you are entitled to each individual component(s) remaining warranty period. You just need to let us know which part is faulty after the first year and go through our normal warranty procedure.

In regards to replacing faulty parts, if we have stock we will do a instant replacement after we have tested the product, if we don't have stock then we will need to return it to the vendor which sometimes can take up to 2-4 weeks. Anything longer than 4 weeks, you can request for an alternative part swap with equal or better specifications.

  • ProspectiveDarkness,

You are correct these games are provided by AMD for the Never Settle HD 7900 Series Promotion. Our intention was to never mislead you but to inform the buyer they will be receiving FREE downloadable content.

    n0va,

The set of keys are only eligible for 1 User for 1 PC. However for this promotion we are going to give our customers 2 x 3 Games. After confirming with AMD over the phone.

Clearly you did intend to mislead on your website as it states: 1x AMD Never Settle Game Promotion - Far Cry 3 - Sleeping Dogs - Hitman Absolution $ 229.00. This is a promotion as stated above, as such the cost should read $0.

  • Would expect more than 1TB storage at this price, at least 2TB, no BD-ROM, no OS, no Wireless, onboard audio

    What type of cooling?

Not bad but I dare say that no one is pushing prices on desktop PC's lately

  • You didnt close off one of your brackets…. Cmon Rep, this is ozbargain, we demand perfection!

    • +1

we are an unusually tough crowd, credit for the stream of responses they're giving.

  • +3

mwave sucks. i will never deal with them again

  • Marchi,

We went with a storage combination of speed (SSD) + data (HDD) storage for this system. The best of both worlds however if you like to remove the SSD and go for bigger storage please let us know.

    cypher67,

Definitely trying to give ozbargainers 100% perfection, you guys are important to us.

  • Logical,

We cannot mark the games at $0.00 as all the allocated stock for this promotion will be purchased by our customers. The AMD Never Settle Game Freebies is only intended for customers who purchase any 7900 Series graphics card until March 2013. The $229 price tag was the RRP of the 3 games combined at the time of adding the SKU to the website.

Hence why I excluded the games price from the total saving of the system itself.

" @ $1,479 Inc GST. (Individual components price excluding Assemble Fee ($99) + Game Prices = Approx. $1,511 (Prices are based on Mwave prices)."

  • Personally I'd rather get the 7970 OC edition than use stupid crossfire and WAY too much electricity…

Also the saving you are suggesting is illusionary given the Samsung SSD you are saying is worth $179 is for sale for $99 on your own site (and you can get it cheaper elsewhere). Haven't bothered checking the rest of the parts but I'd guess this can be built for less buying the parts from MSY, even if you pay someone $100 to build it for you…

  • Samsung DVD 19
    I7 3770 295
    Seagate 1tb 73
    Asrock z77 135
    Thermaltake Tr2 122
    Corsair Venge 102
    HIS 7950 x2 588
    Samsung 840 99
    Antec case 77.31

    1510.31 without assembly...

I take it back Mwave, you can't even buy the parts from MSY for less than your assembled cost….

But I still would much prefer the Gigabyte 7970 OC video card for $210 less….
HIS have shitty warranty support and poor cooling. Two HIS cards is just asking for trouble…

    • What would it cost to swap the 1tb hdd for a 2tb and the 7950's for the Gigabyte 7970 OC?

$13.26 shipping to Sydney metro is also pretty decent value…
