Hi, wondering what are some current good deals on ultrabooks. Looking for something around $800 just for office etc. I'm wanting something with a SSD and exceptional battery life. Can stretch budget a bit if its really worth it. Any clues?
Cheers

Even better !
This is in fact a great deal. I wanted to post it as a new deal. But it seems onlinecomputer.com.au is in blacklist…
would this ultrabook be better than the Asus Zenbook UX32VD-R3001V posted a few days ago for same price?

edit: noticed it is a 2nd Gen i7, how does this compare to 3rd Gen?
10%ish difference, given that an i7 will never be what holds you back I wouldn't worry.
hmm not sure if i'll need an i7. Might settle for an i5 for better battery life? Or how would i3 go just for office?
don't go lower than i5
i3 would be more than enough for office, you will always be limited by other parts of the system.
Do you need the slimness of an ultrabook? The Horize W550EU (http://www.logicalblueone.com.au/store/543-horize-w550eu-ult…) is slightly thicker than most ultrabooks but contains, IMO, better value and features. The dimensions are 374(w)x252(D)x14-20(h) mm which are very reasonable and it's 1.95KG.
The Acer S3 posted previously in this thread contains the sandy bridge i7. The HD4000 is considerably better than the HD3000. The acer doesn't have USB3.0 either. If the W550EU is too big / heavy / thick for you, I would still probably look for a new generation ultrabook with ivybridge processor especially if you want to play some games.
I noticed that people are suggesting the Acer, I wound not buy an Acer laptop ever again, the have the worse service imaginable…before buying anything from acer do a google search about their reputation for service.
This Acer S3 Ultrabook is $740 after cashback. Worth a look. Spec wise it fits the bill. Cant comment on anything else.
