Scoopon withdrew payment 4 TIMES instead of 1

I recently bought a $19 all you can eat buffet voucher only to check my online banking statement to see Scoopon had taken out the money 4 times instead of once. Ive emailed them about it and called my bank but Scoopon are yet to reply. What can I do in this situation and has it happened to you before?

  • Never heard of that happening before. My GF has bought dozens of vouchers from them and never had any issues. I'd say double check your original receipt /email you received from them and make sure it was just for the 1 person etc. Take a screenshot and send it to scoopon support email and explain the situation

    Alternatively with most banks you can make a dispute about a transaction online. I think they only charge you a fee ( $10) if the claim turns out to be invalid.

  • Scoopon is having issues with their deal processing since their website upgrade 3 days ago. Hopefully u get a reply soon.

    • Nothing like the old "Processing error" which charges people 2-3 times for the item. Wonder how many people have not even looked at their statement?

    Phew I am so happy to hear this as the exact same thing happened to me. I was over charged by $110. Twice for one item.

    I do hope they rectify it soon because I need that money as I am just a student.

    This isn't really acceptable!

  • yes Jordzbury I am a student too and I'm glad im not the only one to experience this! What do you plan on doing about it? I've already emailed them but they say they are having technical difficulties and replying slowly to customer queries (of course)

  • This has happened to me recently too. I bought 1 voucher and got charged 10 times. I completed an online enquiry form and received the money back into my account 1 week later.

    Now when I check what scoopons I have purchased on my account it just shows "error, page missing" I have been waiting 1 week for reply to where my scoopon is. The crap thing is they don't even send you a copy of the scoopon like the other deal companies do. You can only print from your scoopon page.
