  Can this one be used with usb tethering to phone?
  
  When we are down at the van, i would like to plug in my phone to it, and usb tether to this device. then everyone has wi fi from my phone. would most likely work better (more juice) that the phones wifi hotspot.

    Why not just create a Wifi access point directly from your phone?
    Makes no sense to buy an extra device to do something your phone can already do!

  Can the 703n be used in conjunction with a EOP combination to extend wifi to another room where the signal is week?
  
  My setup is EOP connected to Optus cable modem/router and I have another EOP which I am thinking of connecting to a device like the 703n in another room to extend my wifi?

    as far as the device attached to the end is concerned, it's just standard ethernet coming in, makes no difference how your ethernet got there

I've got the green one. Thing is in Chinese and I couldn't flash it over to English. Not sure if this is now possible officially.

I use it to add a cheap way for my Blu-ray player to get access to my wireless network. It plugs in to the ethernet port and is powered by the USB port.

  Better off spending slightly more and buying a WiFi modem.
  It may be possible to do, but it will be complicated to set up, plus it means remembering to take 2 devices (plus their respective power supplies and accessories).

would using one of these as an access point for a PS3 be better than using the internal wireless-G of the PS3? I have a 300Mbps wifi router but it can't stream HD or Full HD to the PS3 and sometimes jumps playing SD content.

  If nothing else, it might get you a clearer signal from a better location (ie put the device outside/on top of a cabinet). That's assuming you can set it up as an AP (no probs for a dd-wrt model).
  Bit confusing deciphering the different models. 720N looks a bit bigger with 2 LAN ports, but they all seem to state 3G usb support anyway.
  Have to research DD-WRT support…

  It should in theory, being wireless N and 150Mbps - and then routing through to ethernet. Unless you use a separate charger, it will use up one of your precious USB ports.

  May be worthwhile going for one with an external antenna, and even 300mbps if not too much of a price jump. For gaming it makes no difference other than greater wifi range.
