Pay for 30 days, then get 6 week free —> you only end up paying 41.67% [basically 58% off] of the regular amount if you cancel at the end of the free period (72 days after signup)

  • When does this offer expire?

    • They have them all the time. I signed up for the same offer 8April2025

  • With there extras reset date being January 1. If you are churning in April from one that has an extras reset of July. When would you extra benefit limits reset?

  • this is a very standard promo being offered by most* private health insurances rn. check your coverage terms carefully.

  • Does / has anyone signed up for private health insurance right around tax time to not pay the Medicare levy surcharge and then just cancel during the cooling off period? Is that a thing.

      No.

      Is that a thing.

      And no.

You need to read about how it works.

Good. Essentially, the funds report how many days you were a member during the financial year.

Further, cancelling during the cooling off period results in your policy cancellation being backdated to the join date. You will be deemed to have been with the fund for 0 days.

          • @YesPleaseThankYou: Well there you have it. Just saved me going back to Uni 🤣

No really thankyou though, appreciate the no nonsense explainer.
