I have the AngelCare Video Monitor (AC1100) which I bought in the UK and it works fine here in Aus. I can't be sure as to what the difference on this model is, but we had the AC401 in the US, and it was locked to Fahrenheit, I have a feeling this important warning relates to that - so that US customers know they can't get the UK model (in Celsius) and it display temperatures in Fahrenheit. The power plugs work fine here with an adapter.
Makes the AC1100 around $200 shipped, which is within $10 of its cheapest price

Yeah thanks for this just bought, wanted the UK model over the US amazon.com one for the Celsius readout and possible voltage issues.
