  • Any idea what is the usb-c charging power, in Watts?

DELL has a proprietary 130W usb-c power supply mode, I believe this one supports

FYI just bought from this mob recently and my unit was DOA - when plugged in, it started to smoke up and did not connect nor charge my laptop - Apparently the unit had been tried and tested yet but that did not reflect my experience. Not negging the deal cos they have plenty of other positive experiences and were also pretty good about the return process though they did not seem to want to do business with me afterwards (I asked for an exchange which they declined).

  • Thought the thunderbolt had a thunderbolt port on the smaller section near the power connection. The usbc only version does not have a connector there. While they use the same connector they are different.

Specifically I know about this be use using a Mac on these meant you only were able to use 2 screens with on on the thunderbolt (usbc to dp for example) and one on the other ports ( hdmi, display port or usbc-DisplayPort)

  • "Well regarded"

Mine, and quite a few others, have the random full speed fan issue.

Took the fan out, mounted the dock on an old heatsink, has worked fine since.

    • I have the same one. Fan noise is not that bad. Can I have a link if there is one to heat sink mount?
