    DDR5 5600 C40 No EXPO most likely micron or Samsung…. All good no loss better off buying 32GB 6000 CL30 1.35v EXPO for the same price. :)

      That peculiar number of 96GB was only chosen at the time because manufacturers couldn't fit 64GB on a standard sized SIMM given the memory chips available at the time. More was better, and they could fit 48GB, so, hey presto, 48GB SIMMs were manufactured.

      They could have run 4x 32GB SIMMs, but the more SIMMs the CPU has to drive the slower the maximum speed they could be run at.
