  • Good info for existing card holders, but plenty of other banks/cards to choose from…

Yeah this card had a great sign on bonus but other than that it's rather lacklustre.

The biggest flaw for me is that any transaction not processed solely in Australia gets slogged with a 3% fee, even when charged in AUD! This means I got fees charged for transactions from Steam and some other merchants who have an AU base but use the same CC processor internationally (Tommee Tippee AU for example).

  • That increase in excess is ridiculous… $600!

  • +1

the excess keeps increasing - doesnt feel like a benefit at all anymore.

Anyone know of any credit card with better benefits?

    Thank you!

    • Pretty much any rewards scheme card is now better.

  • all NAB white label cards are doing this

    BOQ, Virgin, Citi, Suncorp, etc

I got the extra excess and capped coverage but NOT the elimination of travel insurance from 2026. I think this may only be applicable for all cards other than Citi Prestige and Premier (Signature)

    • I have Free for life, it was signature when I got it but I think it is now premier, and received letter that it’s been completely removed for me.

      • "Changes effective from 15 May 2026

Citi Rewards Credit Card is affected. Not Citi Premier (Signature) or Prestige.

        • Thanks. My letter talking about the 1 July changes attached the 15 May 26 changes to reward credit cards. I assumed the premier was a rewards card. But I see the difference now.

  • argh…just paid my annual renewal fee…will cancel next year and look for a better card, will leave Citi after 16 years

  • So let me get this right, they're expecting people to pay an annual fee for a credit card that doesn't have travel insurance? Does anyone else do that?
