Based on lumen that link only goes up to 350 lumen. The HS10 can go up to 1100 lumen.

I have one of these. Great head torch and normal torch. Compact and lasts for a fair while consisdering its size. Hella bright too.

    • Yes, they are pretty good. Worth reading the manual for all the weird modes it has.

Only downside is that you need a particularly long USB C connector to charge it.

Love mine, it's my backup and often main for working under a floor or in a roof cavity. Fits in your pocket.

    • How long does battery last at max brightness? Wanting a spare to my ledlenser for the same

  • Is 4000k better or 5000k?

    • Yes

      • Yes 4000 is better?

    • I got the 5000k one, figured I’d be using it more for task lighting and visibility.

5000K is closer to natural daylight (which is 5500 to 6500K)
4000K will have a slightly warmer yellow tone. Similar to afternoon or morning sunlight.

My pick of the two is definitely 5000K as it will offer better colour rendition.

This may help visualise the difference

5000Kelvin is a good mix between output and tint, I do prefer 4500-5000k personally.

    • I have a similar sofirn headlamp in 3000k for night time low lumen use.

The stock battery runs flat very fast

  • Would you recommend the 4000 or 5000k version?

It's a really good torch. Nice and light, i prefer it over the 18650 headlamps.

    • bought another one to keep in the car. Ended up as US$14.07 (after GST), so I will take that as a win

  • No red light is a deal breaker sadly.

  • Only cost me $15.98 AUD for the 5000k version!

    • First time purchasing on AliExpress? That gets you a decent discount.

  • Check if there any good Bundle deals going.
    I got 2x H25S for $30.50 delivered last month,
    and a couple of SC31 pro’s for $45 .

Don't expect much runtime from a 16340 they are usually around 700-800Mah.

  • Should it get very hot on the highest brightness?

    • +1

Yes, it means that thermal conductivity is working properly.

      • I'm worried about burning my head. Sure, heat trap is no good but power loss too much to heat is no good too.

        • +1

Sofirn's products usually do have heat sensors in them if memory serves. Not sure about my SP40 (I run it with the short 16340 tube) or this headlamp but it should reduce brightness before it cooks the LEDs.

  • Hi guys, does anyone know the average battery usage time on one of these headlights. I'm looking for one to do night hiking or running. Would this be suitable?

  • Anyone have a recommendation on whether this one is good for running at night? Will it bob up and down? Is there something more appropriate than this?

    • +1

You could use this but the runtime isn't very long, something that uses 18650 or AA (not as bright) is a good bet if you want to go for one of the cheaper Chinese manufacturers. You'll want a headband with a third middle strap to stop bobbing too. Eg my favourite for running/hiking at night is my acebeam h40

  • Strange - it's showing, "Item not deliverable to the selected address" - my address is in Melbourne…

    • Same.

I have one and love it.

Definitely my favourite feature is the 'moon mode' where it shines very very dull - perfect for not waking people up in a tent while camping.

It does get extremely bright, but with that comes an insane amount of heat. You can easily burn yourself in seconds on the highest brightness.

Have fun figuring out how to put the head strap together!
