depends if you wanna sit thru 15 mins of this for a device that you will use once and then clog up your pantry until you die…
up voting simply cause i bought one of these suckas and they're yonana-rific :/
Ever since watching the show Arrested Development, i have wanted to try a frozen chocolate banana.
It works best with ripe bananas, but any frozen fruit works. I've tried apples, mangoes and even watermelon.
Make sure you chop your fruit to fit prior to freezing, saves a lot of time and effort
Is this machine a hassle to clean?
only if you don't clean it start after using it
That's why they called Yonanas.
Mango and Pineapple are my favourite.
I haven't tried apples or watermelon, I'm a little curious now.
I didn't really like the banana on it's own, it just tasted like frozen banana and a little mushy.
I'm still experimenting with the thaw times to get the best consistency, and different fruits for flavour.
My cloest store is Albury, 255.1km away. :P
Any ozb reviews :o
What's the difference between this and a blender?
the blender wouldnt crap the result out in a smooth consistency like a yoghurt
That's about the sum of it - you have to physically remove your mushy stuff from the blender.
I have heard this machine in fact leaves alot of banana residue stuck inside it once you are finished.
yeah that put me off it when i looked at it the other day. Also it is really loud.
yeah but be realistic here… a $58 made in china device that purees bananas
you expect it to be quiet and not need cleaning???
Did i expect it to be quiet? no. Nor did i expect it to leave about half a banana inside the thing.
Can the original poster put a copy of the receipt so the rest of us can price match what you paid please? I would love to get one too! Thanks OP
Meh… if anyone wants an Icecream Maker go to Aldi.
I bought their 'home brand' model 2 years ago and its been awesome.
Makes perfect icecream.
It's normal price is HALF this "bargain". Not going to neg because someone might prefer this exact model, but $70 for an icecream maker is a ripoff when there's cheaper (and perfectly fine) makers out there.
It doesnt make ice cream.
Kinky!
