  Please be warned that MS Surface RT is not very good- not responsive, and very very slow. Moreover, you cannot even run any exe, or install Google Chrome. Try to hold on till the pro version (Intel based) with full Windows 8 is available. (I have been reviewing some tablets at work for possible use at workplace).
  Or if in a hurry, try out Acer Iconia W510 etc. Not very fast, but at least the full Windows 8, and an run Google Chrome etc.

    Just to clarify, you mean Windows RT not Surface RT. Surface runs Windows RT and Surface Pro runs Windows 8.

      Microsoft couldn't make it any more confusing if they tried! And if anybody complains, they'll probably blame Google.

      Yup, technically you are correct and it is MS Surface running Windows RT.
      But then, it is also Microsoft Surface with Windows 8 Pro and not "Surface Pro runs Windows 8" as you mentioned ;-)

      At least that is what MS calls them.

      But you can find numerous references of both MS Surface RT and MS Surface Pro on the internet, and it makes it clear to the person reading what is intended.
      The point being, in the industry, the people are using MS Surface RT and MS Surface Pro.
      People can see the difference between the two here-

  No point. Buy a $300 laptop, faster and far more flexible. Tablets are worthless toys.
