Dick Smith Have Titled Their Pixel 8a Listing as Pixel 9. Is It Worth Buying and Hoping They Send Me a Pixel 9?

Check out this listing:

This Google Pixel 9 listed on Dick Smith seems to actually be a Google Pixel 8a. The description is for an 8a, the photo is of an 8a, and the pricing is standard 8a pricing. It would be very cheap for a Pixel 9.

Is it worth buying, hoping they actually send a Pixel 9, and raising a complaint if they send a Pixel 8a in the hope they exchange it for a Pixel 9? Or would this likely be a tiresome argument that I won't win?

They’ll most certainly send you the Pixel 8a.
At best you’ll be able to argue for a return and refund.
Basically no shot you’ll get a Pixel 9

Also, it's a Marketplace seller, who have far less resources than Kogan.

        So easier to squeeze them?

        • More like easier for them to say f*u.

The pictures are 8a, the product details are a 8a, you'll be getting a 8a.

DSE is just a market place now, so you won't be getting a Pixel 9, you won't be getting a replacement Pixel 9 if they send you a Pixel 8a.

    You'll get a refund.

    Why even bother

  • It’s a marketplace, depends on who the seller is you may literally get a potato in the post.

It says "8a" FOURTEEN TIMES. It says "9" once. Don't be an idiot.
