[QLD, NSW] Salad Products Recall Over STEC Contamination Fears – ALDI & Woolworths

Two of Australia's biggest supermarkets have recalled a selection of salad products in parts of the country over fears of potential contamination.

Food Standards Australia has issued an alert about several Fresh Salad Co Baby Spinach products sold at ALDI stores due to potential microbial (STEC) contamination.

This was followed by a second alert for a selection of salad products sold at Woolworths.

The ALDI recall applies to products sold in Queensland and some stores in Northern NSW (Tweed Heads South, Ballina, Grafton, Coffs Harbour, Lismore, Casino, Toormina, Armidale, Byron Bay, Goonellabah, Tweed Mall, Moonee Beach).

Woolworths is conducting a recall of seven products which have been available for sale online in Queensland only as well as in store at Woolworths Supermarkets and Woolworths Metro in Queensland.
