Cellink Neo 8 Plus Battery Pack $365.86 + $7.95 Delivery @ Ryda via Catch

ENJOY10

Recently purchased Viofo dashcam thanks to all the OzBargain deals floating around. Decided to buy a dash cam battery to extend recording time during parking mode, and also eliminate the risk of draining the car battery.

Does not appear to be many deals on the Cellink Neo 8 Plus, but this was the cheapest I found.

Use "ENJOY10" to drop the price by $10, unfortunately not eligible for free delivery with OnePass since it's sold by "Ryda Dot Com".

    Nice deal.

For people that don't care for Bluetooth connectivity, there's also the option of the 70mai Battery Pack that is of the same capacity.

Goes for around $240 AUD including shipping.

    • Does the 70mai pack use LiFePO4 cells?

      • Yes. I have one and it works flawlessly.

        • hi is this only compatible to 70mai Dashcam? or can be connected to other brands? Thx

          • @saiya78: No it works with all brands.

            • @adrianhughes1998: thanks. Im interested in the 70mai battery because it offers connection to cigarette power plug.

              • @saiya78: I use it that way but fuse box is also an option which is good

                • @adrianhughes1998: I drive EV car and I try to avoid a connection to fuse box incase avoid the warranty. I guess the safest one is by plugging it into the cigarette power plug?

    • Definitely a great price!

On a side note, USD$209.99 vs AUD$241.99? That's some amazing exchange rates! :)

      • I know, always confuses me with their website but it all plugs in ok haha

    • Hey @adrianhughes1998,

      Website mentions:

*For Cigarette Lighter Solution, if you are using a third-party dash cam or 4G hardwire kit, You'll need the 70mai Parking Surveillance Cable Adapter to work with the battery pack.

Did you have to buy this in order for it to work with your dash cam?

  • Haven't seen these before. Where would you install it and is it set and forget?

    • Glovebox, under drivers seat, near the fuse box, plenty of options. Set and forget yeah

  • Does anyone know of any other LiFePO4 alternatives that could be used in a car? I only know of the kings 12/24/36AH portable battery packs.

  • Wow never heard of any lifepo4 batteries that will survive use in 70 degree temperatures. Would love to see a teardown and find out what cells they're using inside.

    • Yeah usually upper limitation is 60ish degrees. I would be worried having this in my car tbh.

I've had the cell link neo 6 in the wife's car for 4yrs, she parks outside all day in the QLD sun. Still going strong.

  • Hmm I drive my car about once or twice a week. How bad is it if the battery keeps draining as it will deplete between drives?

    • If you don't use parking mode, should be fine. Also depends on your dash cam.
