Replica is an app that takes video from your iPhone or iPad and puts it onto your TV using screen mirroring.

Normally you'd need a device that supports AirPlay but not with Replica!

With Replica installed you can send video to almost any TV or computer.
Supported devices include streaming devices such as Google Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, and many more.

    Thanks OP always had this app but didn’t realise I wasn’t on the pro version. What’s the diff?

    Also has anyone tried this on tesla ? It asks to install a vpn. I cant get nba league pass to work on tesla so maybe this will solve the issue! Thx

      I just tried the app on my iPhone 15 Pro in a Tesla. I was just following on-screen instructions and may not have got everything right.
      Getting the connection is quite fiddly (enable hotspot, install VPN to give the app a network proxy, connect phone to Bluetooth, use Tesla browser to connect to proxy, start screen mirroring in the app, switch to app with content, play content…)
      I found the wifi connection somewhat flakey, sometimes requiring several attempts, then losing it at times.
      While many videos worked OK, some videos that were showing on the iPhone screen did not mirror to the Tesla browser - just the audio.
      The audio had quite a lot of static in it.
      But, the killer for me was the lag - Tesla display was noticeably behind the phone, and the audio was way out of sync with the video. I presume that was because it was basically using Bluetooth for the link.
      So, I decided that the app wasn't useful to me, but YMMV

        just curious, can you install Plex app or at least Plex Web App on the Tesla system and playback videos?

    Yep. Got it and upgraded to the $0.00 lifetime pro version. No issues.

    Great app! Grabbed a $20 Android TV from an op shop for the home gym. Had no remote and this little app has been sooo useful

    Very good app. Was free since December. Been using this weekly.

    Finally makes the iPhone useful for media without being held hostage from expensive hardware/apps.

    Thanks OP , downloaded and upgraded to PRO no issue
    also tested my iphone to chrome and worked fine , a tiny bit of delay as expected but does the nicely!

    I went to download this app, only to discover that I apparently already have it inc the Pro version. One of the many apps I have that I've never actually touched, which is annoying because it feels like once a month I want to cast some photos from my phone onto the TV but can't… could have been doing it this whole time.

    installed on iOS 18.3.2 iPhone, detects local devices (Shield,FireSticks) works fine, nice GUI. Little bit of lag but that's maybe quality setting. For FireStick had to install companion app (free from Amazon App Store) which the App links you to. Upgraded to Pro at no charge.
