Spotify Premium via Türkiye Over?

Have a premium family plan via Türkiye. All the clan except me received an email saying they're out of country and not eligible - premium removed, back to free. My account still seems ok ATM. I'm the account owner. I received no notifications about the family members.

Anyone else experience similar?

If so what are your plans going forward? Anything like RD for music? Personally $24/month for the clan is tolerable considering how much we use it but I'd just feel better (smug?) not having to buckle. I'm fine with local libraries, the clan not so much.

    Modified Spotify APK.

    • Will look into. But half of them are Apple fans. I'd love to leverage this as an ultimatum but pretty sure they'd burn me alive.

Even Jesus was crucified for sharing the good news. They will need to learn one way or another.

Some get Spotify, some don't, they can choose.

Yep my fam got the email , :( , can’t seem to find any Spotify work arounds. That fit our situation

  • I received the email as well…this sucks…is there a free vpn which has Turkey?

  • I'm an individual subscriber in Turkiye, and haven't received the email yet. Fingers crossed.

My recent go to, year for ~$33

  • Same thing just happened to us today, after 8yrs with a Filipino account. My family premium is still active but the 5 family members were removed.

  • same here with Phil account.

  • Has anyone tried to just re-adding the booted out members?

    • Yeah wouldn't work for me. Just kept saying they were in a different country/address to the Premium account.

      • +1

Did you re-add the members whilst connected to a Turkish VPN?

        • This worked for me too - even though address is Australian it seems to work

        • Going to try that now, I'm with spotify Phillipines, will try to readd the family with Phillipines VPN

          • @juns: Let us know how it goes

@hawkdogg: So far so good. I guess it works?

But I'll post something here and tag you if my family got kicked out again.

  • Lost our family access today. No penalties, just ended on last subscription payment when the time lapsed. There isn't any way I'm paying AU price for the service.
Kids are a bit older now and don't need ad-free lullabies on home assistants. Good whilst it lasted. Now ultimately, lost revenue for them.

    YouTube Turkey, let's see!

To reactivate the family members you'll need to use a VPN to Turkey - then log in with the family member's account and set their country to Turkey. Once that's done then re-add them into the Spotify family plan.

    Hope this helps!

    • This seem to have worked.

The funny thing is when I went to set the country (using VPN) for the other family members who were booted out, they were all set to Türkiye within their individual profiles.
I do remember setting the country to Türkiye when their profiles were created.

    • Have family plan via Phillipines and all of the family members got booted over the weekend. Have logged in and checked their locations (all were set to Phillipines already), readded them using VPN (Windscribe) and seems to be working again. Also make sure the address they enter when joining the Family Plan is exactly the same as the Family account holders address.

      • I got booted as a family member on a Phillipines account too. It was already set to Phils for the country but doesn't have the option to add a specific address, just country. Is this only the account owner that has this ??

    Ummm
I just got everyone to re-add themselves with my invite link without any VPN.

And they all managed to do so with no problems?

Same thing happened to me with my Philippines family account. I got it to work again.

    • Use TunnelBear VPN for free VPN to PH (only required during address registration)
    • Account owner setup their address as a PH address
    • Family members set their address to the same PH address

I don't believe you need to enter a foreign address - at least I've successfully done this via Turkiye with an Australian address. The "Country" field (separate to address) must just match the country, and all accounts must have the same address.

  • mine PH family plan dropped off too, re-adding now. lets see if they stay added

  • how you guys getting membership from premium family through turkey. any way for getting it for 12 months? i have been kicked out recently too :(
