I just made my first order through Siddament yesterday, super keen to see how it prints. Reviews well and the about me on the website is amazing. All I need now is some matte black PLA.

I don’t even have a 3d printer but agree, that’s an awesome about me page!

        So you like unprofessionalism?

        • +1

My experience with Professionals is they sell a good product until it has a good reputation, and then swap it out and sell a bad product until it has a bad reputation. At least with this guy you aren't getting lied to.

        • i used to buy my filament from bambu labs but they took 3 months and 7 emails only to refund me on an order that was clearly lost within the first week. they've always been slow to ship stuff. their customer service is a joke. only had one order with siddament but it was here a few days after ordering. have fun with your professionals.

I am ready to be negged to death but I thought the Jayo stuff was comparable, tho sid got way more crazy colours like that Ryobi green

      • +1

        Jayo is my baseline

      • Sidds colour range is amazing, and largely why I go back. But cant beat basic jayo/sunlu colors on special and free shipping. I've had no issues with either.

I first ordered from Siddament due to a deal posted here this time last year - haven't bought from anywhere else since. Print profiles have been spot-on for me, great shipping and communication too, highly recommend Sid

      • Me too. Waiting on White PETG.

      • Except PCTG. I couldn't get it to print properly with pctg

  • done, good timing!, was gonna start hunting for some PLA for an upcoming project!

  • Just got a bunch of filament from Siddament the other day, so good so far.
I'll be ordering again for sure

I bought about $400 bucks worth of filament when I got excited and ordered my 3DP and it came before my printer. I must say I've been impressed with all the colours and quality of the filaments I got (PLA, PETG and some ABS/TPU rolls. No print issues at all after 200hours.

  • Sorry. ignorant questions. Any recommendation for budget 3D printers?

    • Have a look at the anycubic kobra series

Recently being new to 3D printing, and spending waaaaay to much time looking into it, and waaaaay to much fiddling with it since I got one:

If you want simple, just works, and cheapest good printer but don't mind mind buying into a pirated but enclosed and dodgy customer security / customer rights practices type of company… Look at a Bambu Labs A1 or A1 Mini. But google Bambu Labs scandal first.

If you want almost as simple, almost as just works and good printer, but twice the price, but great customer support, great product support and just about everything is open source, obtainable, customisable and well documented etc etc .. Look at Prusa Mini.

If you are an experienced printer, a technical hobbyist with lots of spare time (or a new user who just hates themselves)… Get a Voron 2.4 kit and if you can get it to work you will have a great quality very fast printer. Sorry, not recommended for new users.

Middle ground of all the above, average price, average print quality, average reliability, average support… Might be an Ender 3 v3. Accessible, but not great in any area.

      • Have an Ender 3 V3 Se, it does take a lot of time to tinker and fix the occasional headache issue. But it's taught me a lot and was one of the cheapest printers with auto bed levelling I could find (beginnier friendly In that sense). Will upgrade to a Bambu in the future if I don't have as much time for the reliability.

  • What's the difference between matte silver and grey?
