      Not a bad price but for grey import, I'd prefer to haggle and buy locally for the convenience of being able to return the lens for a replacement if it's faulty.

      Besides, I purchased my Sigma 10-22mm for $500 in 2006. I also just purchased the 15-85 IS with UV filter for $125 more an hour ago and 15mm is often wide enough for most people.

        If you're talking about the Sigma 10-20, it can be found for under $600 from most local vendors these days. Online non-grey import can be under $500 if you look hard. This is the non-f/3.5 version BTW. Grey import gets close to $300 which makes it a very viable alternative to the Canon 10-22 as it's just as sharp at the center and only slightly softer at the borders.

        For the 15-85 IS local stock, Teds currently sells it for $899. Camerasdirect.com.au on the Gold Coast is $725.

        Sorry i meant to canon 10-22. See, i would also like to buy local but not at ridiculous prices. i've bought a canon 550d and recently a 24-105 L both grey , half the price than my local shops
