Looking for best buy for the dollar. Light -to- medium gaming.
Harvey has all of the Acer's tied up—
Are there better out there for the sub $1500?

You know you haven't even linked or mentioned any specific models? How the heck do you expect us to help you?
Like about a quarter of all "ask for IT help" threads, you are clearly supposed to read OP's mind. How did you not know this?!
Sorry— I thought I copied all of that!
Acer Nitro V 15.6-inch i5-13420H/16GB/1TB SSD/RTX4060 8GB $1398
But, the colour gamet + 250 nits kind of put me off…
NVMe
Check out Metabox as a comparison - match the specs against Acer. Also look at Dell options and Lenovo options. I think you will find alternatives that have higher specs for similar prices (or cheaper).
This is $1249.
I5 12450h with an rtx 4060
Better value than any Acer current price at Harvey Norman.

What games are you playing? That might help.
Team Fortress 2
Crysis.

Asking for a friend…so I asked him the same.
One Positive during my time was Acer Repairs had a quick turnaround. Also, if you damaged your screen, they didn't charge inflated prices like HP would. I still use a 12 year old Acer Notebook for troubleshooting some things. Unfortunatly, the trackpad stopped working recently, and the PSU/PSU tip is a bit wonky.
still the case, had acer quote $219 for a 120hz ips screen on a swift
One main issue is the screens are so poor on Harvey's Acer's. Both colour gamet @ 45 + nits below 300. Very dim screen @100%.
Also want to know what the main drive is? NVMe or slow SSD. IS Acer providing the extra & free connections to get this laptop full-on capacity?
Like to know.
