£20 (~A$41.01) Entry to 900+ Airport Lounges Worldwide @ Dragon Pass via Gourmet Society

230
GOURMET17GOURMET16

Copied from @tightarse old post, although now £20

Found this at HUKD(hotukdeals.com) and from the comments, seems to be a ripper deal. It has now access to Australia's main airports and hundreds overseas. £20 is enough for maybe two drinks, so considering all the goodies you get in these lounges, this is a nice bargain for travellers. Apply coupon GOURMET16 (I tried 17 but didn’t work for me) at checkout. Certificate is sent electronically to your email address. Enjoy :)

Once bought the pass can be used within a year.

This deal has been going on for a while. We bought one over a year and a half ago.

When I choose Australia from the drop down list it shows all the main airports. Choosing Sydney has two different lounges a Plaza Premium Lounge and a The House By Aspire Lounge.

    • Fixed :)

      • Awesome, definitely worth it now we can use it here as well now.

        • +1

The House By Aspire Lounge is crap. Went there back in January and the food is really bad and limited. I wouldn't even pay $20 to get in.

          • @first in line: I tried the Club Aspire lounge at Heathrow once while waiting for a flight, and it was terrible too - the only half-decent thing on offer was the alcohol, but there was constantly a massive queue for the bar.

Some Australian credit card perks (bankwest Mastercard platinum something) also use dragonpass for lounge passes. So it is legit!

Old code gourmet17 failed for me. Gourmet16 worked well. I just bought 2 passes for husband going to Europe in 10 days. I will let you know how it goes once he has used is first Lounge in Dubai.

    • gourmet17 still works for me :)

For your husband and his mistress?

      • Ahha lol. For his many stopovers and/or return. Hopefully no mistress.

      • Speaking from experience?

  • What's the longest duration you can stay at airport lounges? Do they have beds etc as well? Private rooms? Never stayed in them before.

    • +1

Coming back from Europe we bought lounge passes in Jakarta, entered around 7:30ish at night and left around midnight. Nobody told us to move along..

That was a horrendous airport, the food was meh, but "free" coffee/tea and soft drinks was useful.

What's the longest duration you can stay at airport lounges?

Usually 3 hours but it depends on the lounge.

Do they have beds etc as well? Private rooms?

Some have both, however you'd need to be flying business and/or have high status with the airline you're flying with to get in.

      • I slept at a 'lounge' once in the US. Used priority pass to get in and they give you 3 hours to sleep. Never seen an actual lounge with beds though…

  • I did this recently, and maybe I picked the worst Airport Lounge in Singapore (Ambassador Transit Lounge - Terminal 3), but I wasn't overly impressed. Maybe it was the time I arrived (after 11pm). Yes, I was able to have a shower to refresh, yes they provided a limited selection of 4 food dishes (although I wouldn't consider plain pasta, with small pieces of bacon an actual dish), some salad options, some fruit and pastries (although these didn't really look fresh either). Yes, there was a Coffee Machine and soft drink machine, but they were not serving alcohol at the time I arrived. The chairs weren't really comfortable and the only benefit that I had was being able to charge my devices and use the WiFi. Did I want to stay there for the 3 hours that this access gave me? Not really, as I wished I had gone to another one of the lounges, although having read reviews of some of those, I'm not sure they were any better.

It depends on the lounge really. For example Amex lounge in Sydney is better than The House. I went in the house with my priority pass but left to go to the Amex Lounge. You got free shower though which is good as usually you need to pay for.

      • Was it a free shower at Amex lounge or The House?

I've been to the SATS Premier Lounge at Changi Airport twice and it was pretty decent both times - I don't remember the exact number, but they had four or five buffet options (all Asian, no pasta) plus a dedicated laksa station (good) and a chicken congee station (also good). There were some pastries too, but they were pretty mediocre. They had infused water and juice as well as soft drinks. Alcohol was self-service; the selection was very limited but it was OK. The second visit was between 2-5am thanks to a flight delay, but I didn't notice any reduction in the lineup.

    Thanks OP,

was going to go for this, but seemed less favourable than my two free Lounge accesses per year via Priority Pass as a free add on to to my (free) CitiBank CC.

Still could be good for others, who've pulled the trigger on it. Enjoy!

    • Of course! I have the full priority pass for me which I used last December and January. But if you don’t have it with cards this is the cheapest way to get lounges.

    • Which card Is this if you don’t mind sharing? Is it free because the Annual spend requirement was met?

  • Good price to use The House lounge in MEL international

    • Trying to get in using priority pass. Always seems to be closed

  • I didn't realise it's only valid for a year. Apologies if I missed it but it might also be important for others.

    • I would imagine many would by just before travelling. 1 year seems pretty reasonable to me for around $40.

    • why would you buy a single use pass more than a year before you were going to use it?

      • I'm going on a big around the world trip next year in April - May (I get long service leave next year but want to time it around certain sporting events) and I thought I'd start planning early.

        • 7.5 years? Congratulations 👏🏽

          • @Pootie Tang: Nah, it'll be 10 years. I think 7 years is when it accrues (so if you leave you get it paid out) but 10 years is when you can take it even though you're still working there. Although that's for NSW, I know it's different in other states tbf.

I bought this thinking it was multi entry.

    What a fool

For others. It's a single entry

    • Yeah. I thought it was like a super OzBargain deal for unlimited access for a year. I was a bit interested as my oneworld gold runs out next week and I have not done enough to maintain it.

      • I now need to research the best lounge on my visit. Let me know if you need something to do

        • +1

I have found loungereview useful when travelling overseas.

  • For anyone use taobao, world wide airport loung entry can be had for $25 in most cases.

Details please? Like keyword to search for?

Link would be even better. Thanks.

  • Any ozbargain recommendations for a 7-hour layover at DXB Dubai?

    • Last time I went in December I did the sleeping pod for 2 hours and then the Ahlan but I have unlimited lounge access at the moment. I would like to know if there is a lounge with good sleeping areas and also food. Ahlan had amazing food but no sleeping areas unfortunately.

      • The 1st class Ahlan in Concourse D ..?

        • I went to Ahlan in Terminal 3 concourse C. It was really good.
