Here is the comparison of J20 Ultra vs Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra

【All-in-One Docking Station】

This multifunctional docking station automates maintenance with efficiency. EUREKA J20 robot vacuum cleaner features automatic mop washing, dust emptying, and a sophisticated mop drying system using 45°C warm air to ensure hygiene. Additionally, robot mop manages water by collecting dirty water, refilling clean water, and dispensing detergent, complemented by a ventilation system to prevent odors. Simplify your cleaning routine with this comprehensive care station.

【RollRenew Fresh Water Cleaning & Innovative Cycling Belt-Mop Design】

Harnessing an exclusive design, the RollRenew system continuously circulates fresh water to keep mop cleanliness, while the Innovative Cycling Belt-Mop Design applies a strong 17N downward force, thoroughly scrubbing floors with every pass, removing tough stains and ensuring a high-quality clean.

【Powerful Suction & Carpet Recognition】

The robot vacuum and mop features a robust 8000Pa suction coupled with advanced carpet detection technology. Upon identifying a carped area, it intelligently lifts the mop and shifts to a non-absorbent side to keep carpets dry and clean. This ensures uninterrupted cleaning across various surface types, allowing for efficient multi-surface cleaning in a single pass without the need for manual adjustment.

【Laser Navigation & Enhanced Sensors】

J20 robot vacuum cleaner and mop use laser technology to avoids obstacles, recognizes walls, and ensures the robot can climb thresholds up to 22mm while providing anti-drop safety, ensuring the robot deftly navigates complex environments. (Only support 2.4G WiFi)

【6000mAh Battery Life for Comprehensive Cleaning】

Experience uninterrupted cleaning with a powerful battery that enables up to 130 minutes of operation, allowing the robot vacuum to cover up to 400m² on a single charge. This capability ensures your entire home is cleaned efficiently in one session, reducing the need for frequent recharging.

【Enhanced User Interface with Multi-Language Voice Control】

Control your robotic vacuum effortlessly through voice commands with support for Alexa, Google Assistant, and the newly added Siri. Accompanied by precise navigation and customizable mapping via Eureka app, these features allow for tailored cleaning schedules and real-time monitoring, providing a seamless and personalized cleaning experience.

I can't comment on anything else in this, but the "strong 17N downward force" that is claimed as an outcome of the "Innovative Cycling Belt-Mop Design" is I think actually an effect of 'um, it is just over 1.7kg'

or is there something in that which is not just marketing speak?

    • Newtons is the standard way to measure downward force, from memory it does work out to be around 1.7kg of pressure but this model has the roller mop design that is excellent for mopping.

Unfortunately I had to return it because it wasn’t great for the pet hair. I’ll probably try the J15 as it has a cutter for the hair that I hope works better than the Eufy one I returned last year. But the J15 has spinning mop pads instead of the roller brush

    • actually, that doesn't bring much information.
What is important in this case is the pressure (Pascal, or N/m2), not force (N).

      • True but for some reason they’ve all decided this is the unit they’ll use so I guess you just compare for example the 6N from a Narwal Freo to the 17N on this, there doesn’t seem to be a wide range anyway I’m more impressed by the mechanism with the roller brush being the best I’ve found for mopping I don’t know why their flagship J15 went back to spinning pads though (also why their model numbers don’t make sense)

        • The Narwal Freo has small spinning pads, each is much smaller than the pad on this J20, so there might still be the possibility that the mopping pressure of the Freo not lower than that of the J20

  • Have had this robot for around a month and as long as you don’t have carpet or mats you want it to clean - it’s a great hard floor cleaner. It will vacuum up to edges but the mopping leaves around 5cm from the edge.. it does a great job and floors are spotless. I value the fact it cleans its mop as it goes around - not just dragging a damp rag around the floor
