            @jv: Hi JV!

Here is an example of one my personal loves from our Neighbourhood Favourites range, a large from $15 for our Proscuitto and Rocket - see if its available at your local Crust!

            Here is also a Capricciosa

Thank you and to the rest of the forum - we hope to see you soon.

This will be our last comment on this thread.

          • @jv: The classic margheritta is $15. I think you are looking at the weird "signature. Margheritta".

They divide the menu up between "classic" usually $15 and signature that are more expensive.

I am not suggesting they make the best pizzas out there, but personally think they are way better value than the regular Domino's deals.

Even disregarding subjective quality, the ssuce difference adds up.

People forget that volume of a cylinder = pi x radius x radius x height.

So, for a Domino's large versus a crust large (assuming same nominal height of 1.5cm which in actually varies according to which option you choose) :
            Domino's
            3.14 x 12.5cm x 12.5 cm x 1.5cm = 735.93 cubic cm or roughly 735 ml of pizza.

            Crust
            3.14 x 13.75cm x 13.75cm x 1.5 cm = 890.48 cubic cm or roughly 890 ml of pizza.

Hopefully, I did that right. It's been a while since my brain did any mathing other than working out what combination of furniture fits in what spaces.!

            • @chewbot:

              the weird "signature. Margheritta".

              What is weird about Margheritta?

              • @jv: I'm not a pizza expert, but their classic margheritta is simpler and is $15

                https://www.crust.com.au/?gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI7PL…

Their expensive version is called 1889 margheritta and I just meant that it had a "weird" name, but perhaps weird wasn't the best choice of words. I just meant that if I asked someone what pizza they wanted, and they said margheritta, then if I didn't have any more information about their tastes or the opportunity to ask them any follow up questions, then I would just get them the "normal" classic $15 margheritta. Rather than the "weird" named $20 one with "fancy" toppings.

                • @chewbot:

                  with "fancy" toppings.

                  tomato and cheese ?

              • @jv: I think they mean it's weird they have a normal margarita and a signature margarita.

        • and of course you don't mention those special prices are only available at a few selected stores, unless something has changed recently

  • +1

I used to enjoy Crust pizza. But pricing was ridiculous and quality took a dive.

    • Do they deliver using illegal e-bikes like other pizza deliveries ?

    • I ordered them once, but realised I don't want mid pizza. I'll either order pizza hut (cheap and nasty) or something that's properly good.

  • +2

Seems like an ad. Any bargains?

    • +2

      Any bargains?

      No, just overpriced pizza…

      • +6

Ok thanks for being honest but why are you logging off, the ad has only been up for 20 minutes?

Post & run isn't really how a community website works, especially if you're here representing a business. Sorry but will have to neg.

  • +1

I've only bought a pizza from them once about 10 years ago.

Was overpriced back then, and tasted very ordinaryNowhere near as good as our local, non-franchised pizza shop.

  • Hey Rep,

We used to get crust often, but now it seems that the option for a white/bechamel sauce on the base has disappeared on the website. Can you tell me if that's a nationwide change or just store-by-store? Also, why no option for "no sauce" on base?

Given the dietary considerations i am generally catering for when ordering, it's pretty much meant we have gone back to using Domino's. Which in turn has meant we eat less pizza.

      Hi Chewbot,

I know I mentioned that this would be my last response on the forum, but I couldn't not respond to such a nice comment.

We truly appreciate your feedback! Hearing what customers love helps us shape the future of our pizzas and sides.

The béchamel sauce has been discontinued, for now, but our garlic base is the creamy alternative that you might enjoy more than our tomato, hoisin, sweet chili or BBQ bases.

I’ve also passed your request for a no-sauce option to our team. In the meantime, if you’d like a pizza without sauce, just add a note in the Delivery and Allergy Information section, and we’ll make it happen.

We really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts - hope to see you back soon!

      Love from the Crust Team

      • Thanks.

  • If you have Uber One, ordering from Uber is better as it often has a deal like $15 off $50 and so on. Well, at least there is a deal like that in my area. So I think I can get like 2 pizzas around 40 bucks after the deal because delivery fee is like 3-4 bucks. Is it worth it? Not sure. I can probably get similar or better quality pizza from local pizzeria around the same price.

    • ordering from Uber is better

Then you are partaking in illegal activities…

  • -1

How do i downvote this crap deal?

    • +1

      You already did.

  • +6

Free delivery on a single weekday with a minimum spend is very underwhelming.

  • +2

ozbargain becoming adsforfree? Should be deleted

  • I used to enjoy Crust's half-half Peri-Peri Chicken and Vietnamese Chicken pizzas, but the quality at their Blacktown store has declined significantly. The sauce is now watery and thin, the toppings are sparse, and yet the prices have increased. Unfortunately, it's no longer worth it, so I’ve decided to stop ordering from them.
There are plenty of local pizza shops better than Crust.
