Continuous Discharge Current: 300A. This is very decent!

    • 100% - You know you are buying a great battery when the discharge matches the capacity

    Comfy 38kg!

  • +4

For those that didn't watch the videos, the second one has a capacity test, he got 317Ah out of it, the voltage is showing 0v at the end so I assume he ran it until it hit the BMS 10V low-voltage disconnect…

Considering buying a couple to add to my hybrid inverter.

    • +1

Your hybrid inverter can use a 12v battery?

      • By couple I mean 4

        • +3

          I notice the specs state:
Allowed Batteries Connected in Series Bank (Same Batch): 4

So if you do it maybe contact them and tell them you'll be running them in series and ask for "same batch", just so you don't end up getting mis-matched ones…

It seems to be a bit of a minefield running budget batteries in series, at least if you ask for "same batch" and tell them you'll be running them in series, you'd have grounds to return them if it all goes pear shaped..

  • How does a battery potentially have a 3kg difference ?

    Genuine question ?

    • +1

Actual weight v's shipping weight including the box and such is all I can think of..

Their website actually states: 29kg +-3kg, which I'm inclined to believe over the eBay listing of 38.2kg.. (I suspect 38.2kg is an error)

    • +1

extra 3kg when its charged from all the extra electrons!

    Same price in store too.
Been watching this for a week or 2, "Special price" all the time.

  • Anyone know of a redarc bcdc 1240 Agm/ gel charger can charge rhese? I keep reading conflicting info so wondering if anyone uses an AGM charger?

    • +3

I've been using a Projecta 20A DC-DC on the 14.1v gel setting with a 100Ah lithium for a couple of years with no issues…

The Projecta floats at 13.7v which is a little high for a lithium battery, but considering it's only sitting at that float voltage when the battery gets fully charged, and while the vehicle is running, plus there's loads connected, fridge, fan, USB outlets and such, I don't think it's a big deal… I'm no expert though…

Thanks mate that's what I have read also, use the gel setting.

2+ years use and a couple of laps of the country, my battery has only lost a couple of percent capacity so I really dont think it's an issue…

I run a Victron MPPT Solar charge controller set for lithium, so the majority of the time that's dishing out the ideal charge voltages and such…

    • +1

If you’ve got the BCDC1240D should be lithium capable

      • +1

        I think the older non-D version doesn't do lithium…

        • Yeah correct this is the older model 1240.

  • +1

Price is back down to $799.

  • $767 Delivered, brilliant. Bought one as a part of my system upgrade from 200AH AGM (2 x 100AH) to this single 300AH. Then upgrading from Kings equipment (charger and Inverter) to Victron within Integrated Cerbo for remote monitoring.

    The deal is back on.
