FREEVIP90

I just went to book through Promotix and discovered the show I wanted tix for was VIP member only.
Fear not, for a code from 2 years ago on ozbargain still works πŸ˜‚.

So how does Promotix work?

Our Members our "Word of Mouth" team to help build the buzz around events.
Tickets are complimentary - and all you pay is the admin fee
Why are the tickets free? So you can help support the arts by spreading the good word about the shows you see PLUS it's a great way to explore and experience new shows that you may not have otherwise invested in seeing!

For example: Redeem 2 Complimentary Tickets to a Musical Theatre Show (valued at $55) all you pay is a $8.95 admin fee (that's a saving of over 80%)

I used this VIP membership very well when it was free. I saw many unknown acts and people, some of whom I have since fallen in love with and frequently attend their shows.

I highly recommend you take advantage and see some lesser-known performances.

    • Promotix is awesome. Taking chances on unknown acts has paid off much more than it's bombed, great to see new talent I'd otherwise be oblivious to.

Code doesn't work anymore if you used it in the past.

Couldn't you just create a new basic free membership and upgrade it with this?

      • Yeah, this works. Just create a new one or two πŸ˜‰!

      • Yes, you can. I plan to do that if there are any VIP promo show/s that I want to see.

    • Worked for me - on 2 membership. Had used (probably different) code a few years ago.

Read this as Proxmox and thought I was getting a subscription plan. Oh well this is still a good deal haha

What does this give? never heard of it

    • Gives you free ticket to events. I used it once and got tickets to an advanced screening of Resident Evil. But most events are comedy shows.

        Sorry to hear…..

99% of the shows that you can get free in NSW are stand up comedies. For those who are not interested in that stuff, this membership is almost useless.

    • Enjoyed a few comedy shows when visiting Sydney.

It's common to have comedy shows, but its certainly not the only ones that pop up (but those are consistant).

https://nolovesongs.com.au/ has been on there a bit recently, one I would definitely go to if I was in Sydney.

Shame there hasn't been anything in WA for a while

    • fringe festival….

      • Yeah there was a couple then, very rarely at the main places though (usually Johny Fox's or whatever it's called). Few and far between outside Fringe.

Not completely knocking the site, I check it often and have had good tickets through the years, just the last year or 2 seems a bit lax towards WA

been VIP members for few years. Guy from Promotix is lovely. FYI new users β€œTicket Etiquette
Complimentary tickets are a privilege and allocations are limited, so if you are not able to attend a show please ensure you advise us asap, as an empty seat is a missed opportunity for another member
    and the artist.
After attending a show you enjoy please remember to spread the good word about it to friends, family and colleagues πŸ˜Šβ€

got perhaps two of the best seats in the house for a Steve Martin / Martin Short show through this.
had to ask where our seats were, because i'd gone the wrong way, up to the 'cheap' ones
right in front, and any closer to the stage we would have been looking up, we were more comfortable where we were…

and agree witt those who have said it is a good way to see something you otherwise wouldn't….

  • Comedy festival in Melbourne at the moment.
