Dr Atkins died a very obese man. Would not recommend.

    • Too late. Bought 2 packs and let’s see how long I last :)

      • +1

Not too late. Stack with Longevity capsules(chemistwarehouse.com.au) from your favourite store.

      • I'm tipping you outlive the poor bloke and his single "square of lindt dark chocolate, which contains 5 ingredients, none of which were made in a lab".

    • how much sugar is in it?

      • o I see 0.5g not bad.

    • Isn't this the very reason he invented these bars? ;)

  • +7

30g each but only 1.5g of protein, what's the rest made of

    • chocolate

    • +15

      Dr Atkins.

    • +10

The protein is likely Polydextrose (E1200 - fibre substitute, to replace sugar, fat).
It's sweetened with Maltitol (E965), Sucralose (E955 - commonly known as Splenda).

I'm not diabetic and not on a carb restricted diet… but will regardless stick with a square of lindt dark chocolate, which contains 5 ingredients, none of which were made in a lab.

      • you can buy real dark chocolate that has no sugar in it but its very bitter.

        • +3

You can eat dirt too, just one ingredient

          • -1

@Wolfenstein98k: actually dirt has many things in it if you want to call out ingredients so its more than one.

    • +1

      Soylent Brown!

  • Chocolate puts me to sleep but not this stuff. Thanks

  • reminds me many years ago i bought some dirt cheap almost expiry Oreos off Catch and left them at my work's kitchen counter, it was virtually untouched after a week

    • Man I would have eaten them all by day 2.

  • +3

Iv had these, all they make me want to do is eat more real chocolate…..if you are like me and small cravings can make you fall off the wagon, I wouldn't recommend these.

  • o they look good

  • +1

Never got the point of these or how/why people buy them. Full of the worst fake sugar - don't taste that good and always super expensive, even at this price. Don't recommend

    • Diabetics

    • Simple math , Diabetes/Obesity (full sugar chocolates and cakes) or liver cancer (Chemical stuff)
i don't recommend either but when you can't have sugar/carb like me , little other options around

    • you have heard of Keto right? low carb low sugar.

  • +3

This bar gives my stomach more twists than a Netflix thriller.

    • +4

      So, none?

      • +1

        LOL

    • Gold 😂

  • +2

Rather a flake bar/cherry ripe on 1/2 price and enjoy real choc with real sugar on cheat days

  • +1

probably bad but im a sucker for a markdown choccie

  • Thank you

  • Thanks OP. Am doing Keto atm so for $3 might as well give a 5 pack a try

    • Isnt keto about eating natural foods without carbs?

      • Yeah but sometimes you need a snack to get you through lol 😂 also helps with cost

        • You can still have a cheat day on keto.

When i did keto last year to drop from 94 to 85, i had cheat days. Took me 6 weeks to loose the weight (zero carbs bar the weekly cheat days and 75min cardio daily). Now back on bulking as soon as ramadan ends.

          • @easternculture: Yes of course, but I find that I have a sore stomach the day after as my body is given such a shock from all the carbs all of a sudden.

That, and also I’m trying to maximise my weight loss as I’m leaving for Japan in just about a month and trying to fit on the theme park rides there

I lost weight on Atkins, but when i ate these it plateaued. I think eating processed food like this doesn’t help, but making your own food does.

    • The sweet in sweetners makes your brain think you are eating sugar which then signals for insulin to be released and fat stored.

If trying to lose weight, eating food with sweetners will only truely work if you are on a zero carb diet.

  • I tried some of Atkins products, and yes, the sweet taste is not quite pleasing.

I will get Tom & Luke snack balls, it is half price at Woolies at this moment - 1 pack (7 balls) is $4, or, (bit more expensive tho') Melrose Ignite keto balls at ChemistWarehouse (1pack = 4 individual balls now half price - $5.99).

  • 11 grams of fat for each 30 gram bar. I'd much rather eat fruit/berries for sweetness and satiety.

  • Artificially-sweetened (Sucralose) garbage.

  • On recent warm days, by the time they arrive, already melted

    • Sounds like you need a deal for a fridge

  • These are very bad for you.

Make sure you check the delivered item - mine had best before of 7 March 2025. Catch did refund when I lodged the return.

    • Same - just delivered now and all 7/3/25…

    • Same thing happened to me

    • +1

Ate 2, been pissing out my ass for the past 3 hours lol

      • Damn son

      • Certain types of artificial sweeteners can have laxative effects, in particular these ones

        Erythritol (968)
        Lactilol (966)
        Mannitol (421)
        Maltitol (965)
        Xylitol (967)
        Sorbitol (1200)
        Isomalt
        Polydextrose
All of the above may have a laxative effect and cause wind and diarrhoea if eaten in excess

        https://www.health.nsw.gov.au/heal/Pages/sweeteners.aspx

        • I make alot of keto snacks with Xylitol i have alot of this, I mostly make my own ice cream.

          its perfectly fine.

  • Got mine delivered too, same as above with best before as 7 March

    • yep mine also say 7th of march too. So they sent us already expired food?

  • yeah I just did a refund and return. because are they are really relying off people not checking the dates? looks like there will be a alot of returns.

    • Mine was automatic refund without returning. They asked me to dispose of it in the email

      • same seems very dodgy to me that they would try to sell expired stuff to people that seems very illegal to me and grounds for a court case against them.

  • You guys are actually getting these delivered?

My tracking hasn't moved in about 10 days. After reading these comments I think I'd be happier with a cancellation and refund :/
