(2025) Best Wireless Earbuds for $100 or under

Simply put I'm looking for a new pair of earbuds and my budget is $100, so far I'm thinking the Samsung buds FE or the Soundcore space A40

I can get both at the price of $85, the question is which is better and is there any other options for that price range? I've had the Samsung buds and they are okay, the battery isn't amazing, but it isn't bad. While the Soundcore I'm worried about whether they will last.

Here are the best prices I've found for both:

Soundcore $129.99
Samsung $89.99

FYI: Ended up getting the cmf by Nothing Buds Pro 2 for $89 (using the $10 newsletter signup code with jbhifi) since I got to try a friends pair and it didn't mean I had to wait for delivery :) tbh not bad with a nice app, hopefully it will last longer than a year……

Largely pointless discussion without any mention of what you value.

    • Do you want open ear ones that allow all noise from the outside world to mix into whatever you're listening to?

    • Do you want strong ANC?

    • Do you want stem style ones for better balance or smaller bud style ones that may be less stable and fall out?

    • Do you want buds specifically designed for exercise that are more sweat resistant and less likely to fall out?

    • Do you take calls frequently in noisy environments with your earbuds?
If so, the microphone quality and the noise cancellation on said microphones will matter.
A lot of budget earbuds put most of their money on ANC or sound quality, but skimp on the microphone and the noise cancellation for it.

There are so many more questions that could be asked, but without any attempt to define your use case, this thread may not yield the answers you want.

      1. Don't particularly care
      2. Indifferent to ANC
      3. Don't mind either
      4. Water resistance is nice but the bare minimum is okay
      5. If the mic quality is comparable to the samsung buds fe then thats fine

Personally comparable battery life, sound quality and mic to the samsung buds fe is the goal. I had the samsung buds fe and they worked well however I'm just not impressed that they lasted only a year (plus other family members had the better models and they didn't last long either).

tbh Im probably going to give the soundcore ones a go unless there is a better suggestion

I'd keep a watch on Jabra sales on here (you can set an alert for Jabra). I picked up the Jabra Elite 7 Active for $64 last year and they're pretty great.

CMF Buds Pro 2 are a great option too. For the price I found them really good, but that's purely subjective.

You might be able to get a pair of samsung buds 3 for ~$100 on fb marketplace, quite a few people got it free from samsung with the $200 accessories voucher.

Brand new was available for ~$139.

    • I'd only be wary about the plethora of fakes out there :(

  • the samsung buds FE seem like they do a pretty good job at all of the above bar water ingress.

    • My last pair was the samsung buds fe, not bad and was better than the jabra elite 3 I had before that. I don't know, I'm at a point where I can give another product a go or stick to the samsungs and have the old "cradle"/case as a backup for the new pair

  • Are they both on rtings.com?

JBL Wave Buds are fantastic. Great sound quality and long lasting battery. I've had mine for 2 years and they still work great.

I have the soundcore liberty 4 NC and they're really good. Microphone is really good for calls, ANC is good, they're comfortable. Battery lasts a while, it has multipoint. The only downside is the transparency mode isn't the best. It also falls out when I'm eating, but I've had that issue with almost every set of earbuds.

    • I've heard good things about the Soundcore liberty 4 NC and space A40. If the brand Nothing fails me I'll give Soundcore products a spin!
