Yes, there is also this one for $40, but I specifically needed the one with a 540mm depth. Some might prefer this even though it's more expensive.

      • Why is SCA clearing them out when they are a top seller?

    • can't find any stock available in NSW

Say them for $50 at a Bunnings yesterday, stated clearance on yellow label

  • Junk shelves. MDF rots and things fall or bow through it.

Some of these go on special at amazon or Ebay. I picked up this one for $300 delivered and a 1m work bench (same colour looks snazy) for 120 delivered. Skytech or something it was. Then put castors on the bench. Awesome combo if you can get similar pricing. I'm 100kgs and can sit/stand on the shelves.

Junk shelves. MDF rots and things fall or bow through it.

      Takes a while though.
I've had about 6 sets of these exact shelves for over 11 years now, genuinely holding engine blocks (so, not light!) and am near water, so it's always damp.
      So far, they're holding.

You can certainly do better for more, but that "200kg max" is conservative.

If you're concerned with the MDF, add $20 for a can of mistint paint and coat them.

      • What is this mistint paint you referring to? Does it coat it or something. A link would be good

        • Mistint is the cheap paint they sell at Bunnings etc where the colour is wrong ie mis tinted

It’s just standard paint of whatever kind

        • Literally any is fine. Yes paint coats wood just fine.
Bunnings don't list their mistints, so I can't link anything. Just go and see what they have; any water based will do the trick.

    • Thats a nice shelf, and also, https://www.amazon.com.au/Warehouse-Garage-Shelving-Storage-… this one is similar size to the SCA/Bunnings version, for $175. Seems like a good buy.

  • I've been waiting a long time for the heavy duty shelving units to come on sale.

    Any suggestions?

    • I was in a similar situation looking to put shelving along the wall of a garage. Was thinking about Bunning's Rack It modular stuff, even Costco had something similar. Ended up getting second-hand warehouse shelving off Facebook Marketplace. A lot more options, was able to maximise space a lot more than other shelving. Overkill maybe but this Pinnacle shelving is junk, the supports are so flimsy and the MDF absorbs liquids too readily.

I got a few of the toolpro shelves and they are sturdy and good in depth. 54mm is too deep.

  • These are good but annoying thing is the tiny pins they give you to connect the top and bottom parts. At least with the longer versions greater than 1.2m they actually give you a metal bracket. They really stinged on this by replacing it with pins.

  • These are great, got several of them through my shed and garage. Quick and easy to assemble and pretty solid.
