$60 for this month and the same last month. I just use gas for cooking - and I barely cook. Just cooking for one.
Is Anyone Else's Gas Prices High?

Yeah, would he rather be transporting and refilling large heavy bottles?
some/most of it will be supply charge.. $60 is pretty cheap tbh considering gas prices
$60/month means nothing to anyone unless you provide the supply charges and actual usage. For most people, that's quite cheap.

Just cooking for one.Cook for two. Uses pretty much the same gas, so you will halve the cost…
Clearly they have cookware for 1 which requires less gas when cooking than cookware for 2 or more.
Sounds like a lot just for gas cooking but probably mostly supply charge. I have the cheapest gas for my area, $180-210 for 2 months in summer and that's just for a relatively efficient gas hot water tank and the pilot light on the central heater going. Gas cost is increasing at 30-50% a year (based on Tango's pricing for my area), most of this is purely based on Vic govt anti-gas policy, assuming you're in Vic.

100%…..
We export gas cheaper than what we pay for it locally.
Enjoy it while you can - in a few years you will be forced to used electricity (only)
It's the Australian way.
It's because the Coalition sold our gas dirt cheap to overseas with something like 50+ years contract.
Coalition likes selling out Australia for some reason.
That's why there's not enough at cheap price for internal demand when it increased.

How much was it sold for?
That's why there's not enough at cheap price
There's plenty if cheap gas in Bass Strait, but the government will not allow companies to drill, refine and sell it anymore domestically… Still, they are happy to sell it to other countries as that does not contribute to global warming…

Who sold Qantas?
Who sold the Commonwealth Bank?
Who recently sold VicRoads?
Who started the sale of public assets in Australia?
forgot to include Telstra
No, they weren't privatised by Labor.
Labor did however sell CSL for $299 million. It is now worth about $225 billion. 😲
My bill is 685 Zimbwean pasos per fluffernox. Hope this helps you to compare.
$50 out of $60 could be your supply charges. Read your bill properly and get back to us.
Not bad for an 8 person household with gas water heater
Location and retailer would be useful
Do you have an electric hot water?
$60/m sounds cheap to me, but again there are many factors to consider.
