Was looking for a camera kit for home installation. Found this Camera kit at TGG, it is on sale for $749 and using $60 off $400+ spend deal it comes down to $689. Cheaper than what I could find elsewhere.

Is it a better kit then this one? Of not it's more expensive?
Oh this one is 4 camera not 8, my bad
does anyone know approx. how much to install one of these?
Would like to know this too and any reputable installers in Sydney
I was quoted $600 and $750, I ended up doing it myself. Super easy and I learnt so much.
It's plug and play. Very easy to install.
Hmmm. Cameras and NVR look different to those listed on the Reolink AU website, and any on their frequent Ali Express and Amazon deals such as https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/876228
Could be very good or very poor value depending on the models used. Product number PS4KD01-8 isn’t listed on their website and the cans look different to the D800 or 820A which are commonly used in their 4 cam + NVR packages. Does anyone know what the camera model is and how the NVR compares to their usual RLN-800?
This package seems to be one that's exclusively sold through big-box retailers like TGG and Bunnings, and elsewhere in the world at places like Walmart.
As you've noted, neither the NVR nor the cameras have the same external appearance as any of the models sold through their own website, so it's hard to know how they differ from the products that are all well known and extensively evaluated by members of this forum.
That said, the specs are a close match to the standard 8-channel NVR (RLN8-410) and the cameras appear to be similar to the base model 4k units (RLC-D800) that are seen on these pages occasionally. If we assume they're electronically identical, $690 is decent value and significantly cheaper than you can get direct from Reolink right now.
The closest deal I can see is the 8-ch NVR + 4x820A for $770 on Reolink's AliExpress AU site: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/100500163150435
All true.
The 820A are a better cam than the D800 since they come with SDcard slots and UIDs that allow them to be used beyond the native NVR.
Also the 4x820a or 810a + 2tb NVR currently retails for US461.02 but can be had for US$373.19 or AU$599.45 using vouchers AUCD50 for US$50 off, and REOLINK1783 for a further $20 off plus 1873 coins. Depending on the specs of the cams in this deal - and whether they can accept an SD card or not, the $100 saving for the AliExpress deal could be money very well saved, esp since they’re shipped from Sydney and most people have received previous orders within 48 hours.
I had reolink 4k cameras at my old house, I was pleasantly surprised with how they performed for over 3.5yrs.
The stream was incredibly quick via the mobile app, it makes the Eufy load time seam like it's running on Dial Up
